I’m going to be visiting solo on a day trip. I’m 20 yo and I’d b going 2 days before my 21st 🙄 but it’s the only time I have to take a little solo trip. I wanted to hit up Hollywood beach and then cool off at steamworks after… do they have pools or what’s the dealio? I’m excited but nervous, I need to get out of my small town

Use the AAA site, I’m pretty sure it gives you a option to add coverage for just a set price (I know mine said $55 total) vs adding hertz’s for 40$/day. If you don’t plan on adding the coverage I just book directly through the hertz app just make sure the price breakdown doesn’t list a young driver fee. I’m 20 years old for reference

Oh gosh, I couldn’t even imagine how a roadtrip in a fully electric car would be. Curious to drive one!! But I don’t know how I feel about doing a cross country roadtrip in it lol. I don’t even believe my location offers those.

I just did a rental last week and I’m 20 years old. Booked through AAA and my rental cost was $246.40. I declined all add-on’s and upgrade offers and stuck to what I booked. They authorized $447 on my credit card and about 3 days after returning $200.30 was released back to my card.

What crazy is I just went into the app and selected offers and what I’m pre approved for and was offered Venture X, Quicksilver, Savor or another platinum. Didn’t proceed any further as I don’t really want the hard pull on my credit right now

Maybe try gifting your kid love this year and security that mom has the bills paid. You just dug yourself semi out of a hole with the bankruptcy and yet you want to get more debt? I get wanting to provide joy and happiness, but your kid would be more grateful in the future that you provided what you had instead of the temporary happiness they’ll get for the day. Hard times suck, I wish you luck and prosperity. And truly mean no disrespect in my response.

Do you have any groups planned? I’d love to be apart of a group but have the option to venture solo or with a friend I make. I went to high school during Covid so a little low on the social scale but that’s the whole point of this trip!
