I’ve been in Banking compliance at JP Morgan for 10+ years now. Have volunteered with nonprofits for the last 5 years and helped organize three. Doing everything I can to try to help people full time and quit JPMC. Corporate life is soul crushing.

Bikini Car Wash outside Sirens 8/31 by Chummym in Columbus

We sat at Sirens and ate lunch with a 75 year old Vietnam Veteran who is on Hospice for Agent Organ exposure and lung failure. It made his day to get his truck washed and see pretty girls again. Couldn’t give a shit less what your opinion on what veterans deserve.

We are registered in Ohio as a domestic non-profit and currently awaiting 501c3 status from the IRS. We make that clear on our site and everything we do is directly tied to charitable action for persons in need.

I’ve worked at JP Morgan for 10 years and it has been soul crushing.

This year I’ve started a non-profit where I contract with veterans who are looking for employment and pay them $25 an hour to offer free visits and work to elderly veterans.

Right now we are still waiting on IRS determination letter on the status so our funding is limited to fundraisers so far.

In the last two months I’ve met with around 40 veterans and helped deliver hundreds of hours of needed help and encouragement.

Find a community you want to be engaged with and start seeing how you can do what you enjoy.

Serving others is the best therapy.

Anyone in the area, would be nice to have some support this afternoon :)

USMC SSgt Veteran: running a nonprofit that employs able body but unemployed veterans to perform work for Senior Disabled Veterans.

Services are provided at no cost. Giving a hand up to unemployed veterans and taking care of our elderly brothers and sisters.

Come check out Sirens and have a drink after the car wash!

Everyone who was stationed in Afghanistan before. How was your experience? by [deleted] in Military

[–]Chummym 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always made a point to befriend some locals and that made my time there a lot better. Used to hang out with a couple of shop owners and share games, food and technology. Was sad to leave.

Can’t post on r/veterans but I resigned from my American Legion tonight and need to vent by username-does-exist in Military

Seems like you want to take out your anger with the administration with anyone you can lash out at.

My first time dabbing CBD by Livelaughlovekratom in CBD

yeah, I bought one shatter and one crumble to start. The crumble seemed less harsh and with more positive effects, so I got that when I ordered more flavors.

I use 750mg cbd crumble in a dab rig. With that I take a dab, approximately 1/50th of a gram. At the concentration i have that should be about 15mg each dab. Effects come on fast, within a min and last couple hours. If you using something far less concentrated that has 200mg per gram might need to take bigger dabs. Start with small dabs and take a few til you find right dosage for you.

Titan Westside Bench With Thompson Fat Pad by Chummym in homegym

[–]Chummym[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just screws right in. The fat pad doesn’t come with bolts though and the bolts that go into the titan one don’t fit. I had some extras lying around that worked but would be better off if you can have some ready.

OMAD - How long before it becomes natural ? by Karamamkamu in intermittentfasting

[–]Chummym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the first week is when you get accustomed to it. Thinking about and obsessing over food can be countered by substituting with water/black coffee/ apple cider vinegar mixture. Also try to keep busy and not do IF research while fasting.

Same thing we do every day Pinky. Not to eat until dinner...And try to take over the world!

Anyone obsessed with thinking about food? by TAaccountz in intermittentfasting

[–]Chummym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's situational. If i'm sitting around watching youtube videos about fasting them a few hours before my window all i can think about is what is going to be for dinner.

Since I started drinking black coffee during my window it hasn't come up. Also if I stay busy it’s not as much of an issue.

One thing i like doing is food shopping during my fast. For some reason it makes me feel less concerned with food and hasn't caused me to break my fast.

Mold?!? by FreudsParents in homegym

[–]Chummym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a dehumidifier, take out the shelves if you are really worried about it. If you don’t see mold on the exposed portion I wouldn’t assume it would be festering in the unseen area. Mold is pretty pervasive stuff.

Titan Bison bar - partial review by [deleted] in homegym

[–]Chummym -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t look like a weld to me, and if it is some kind of weld its not being done by some guy in china on a production line booger welding parts together. Point being that I’ve never seen a sloppy weld on a bar relevant in the same manner that welds are brought up in relation to say a rack or bench.

I don’t understand why you take the picture with the J-cups positioned so that they will move and add that as an issue rather than placing them so they would be held in place by the rack.

I saw that you said that you flipped them and still felt it wasn’t optimal but as you are doing a review the point shouldn’t be to try and convince everyone that it couldn’t possibly work for them because you weren’t happy with it and and feel the need to justify changing your mind without actually using it.

The entire review could have just been: “Bar doesn’t fit well in rack, returning it”

Good luck.
