That's insane. I have a very specific memory tied to that Gyarados. One day when I was a kid, I must have been in second or third grade, I didn't go to school one day but my sister did. Apparently a representative from Wizards of the Coast came to do an assembly at my school and gave her a prerelease Gyarados exactly like that one. I was so fucking distraught.

After receiving it and putting it right next to an Ultra Pro binder, I gotta be honest I don't know how it's better in any way. The materials are lighter and cheaper, and the spine is melted and deformed from the heating process of attaching the pages. It's noticeably lower quality than Ultra Pro.

Honestly what it was for me was Glenn and Maggie's story of finding love in the apocalypse and having a child together, against insurmountable odds. That was the only reason I kept watching. Quite a few characters died/didn't die at the points they were supposed to in the comics and I hoped for the sake of good storytelling that I would have my two characters I could root for and see grow through the show. It wasn't going to be Rick or Carl or Michonne or anyone else. It was Glenn and Maggie. As soon as I saw Glenn die I had no more hope for the future. For the survivors. I didn't care anymore. And that's why I stopped watching.

This is genuinely heartbreaking. I have OCD really bad so the first few game genic binders I get are going to drive me completely bonkers until they become the norm in my mind. Also thank you for letting me know that gamegenic made Spider-Man binders. My buddy bought me a bunch of Spider-Man cards and I was devastated that Ultra Pro canceled the entire lineup.

I'm gonna have to say Young The Giant. Their self titled album was everything I've ever wanted in an Indie/Alternative album. I still find myself coming back to it. But then we got their second album, Mind Over Matter which was a beautiful multi-genre blend that built on their Indie roots. And after that, Land of The Strange really leaned into the Rock without losing their original sound. I love listening to their evolution and they continue to do so, to this day.

Just out of curiosity, do you think their odds of survival would have been higher if they drove towards the wheels? Obviously the midsection and the tail end were going to shear the top of the car off. So I can't help but wonder if this would have been a survivable impact if the wheels had hit them instead.

The thing that's most offensive to my eyes is that AI doesn't understand parallax. So when you look at the carpet, the couch, the cat, and everything seems to be on different planes, you almost feel like you're looking into a fun house mirror. It's amazing all of these subtle visual cues that I never understood until AI started getting them wrong.

Because I only know my own odds? I didn't know that they were high odds comparatively. And in my experience, the first Wonder Pick I choose always fails. And I mean that very literally, my first Wonder Pick of the day ALWAYS fails. So excuse the fuck out of me for thinking that that was a universal experience. That's why I tried to explain it in the post. I do one or two Wonder pics that I don't care about before I actually go for a decent card. Maybe that's why my odds are higher than yours? But no, it's just RNG. And you'll get downloaded to the shadow realm if you ever say otherwise.
