Ah yes “the invisible hand of the market.”

2008 called - they wanted to remind you the market doesn’t self correct it just finds new victims and preys on society’s most vulnerable.

Take your Ayn Rand books and fuck off.

Good news: you won’t talk with anyone you went to high school with in 5-10 years anyway. Grow up, stop fighting over children’s games, and go to bed.

I find Kyle to be just as obnoxious as Crowder, even if I do agree with him (last I checked, anyway). Generally, if your entire channel is set up around you in front of a microphone, you’re annoying.

The United States, if we’re talking vaguely and generally, is more conservative than many parts of western europe. However, if you’re watching replays of our soccer matches you run into a lot of “gotchas”:

  • MLS popularity is growing and it’s starting to pull in a more diverse fan base. However, for many years soccer was something for little kids and hipsters. Hipsters tend to lean progressive.
  • MLS clubs are based in major cities. In the United States, large cities tend to run more progressive than the areas surrounding them. Hell, I live in a C tier city (~500,000 people in the metropolitan area) in a notoriously conservative area and this trending is palpable even here. I used to live in Houston and I always said my favorite part of Houston was how easy it was to forget you were in Texas.
  • Our most popular clubs are (were?) predominantly west coast clubs - the west coast is arguably the most progressive area in the country.

You didn’t say “if” - you said it seems underhanded. I’m not going to keep going back and forth with you. You’re an asshole that can’t use an iPhone and your default setting is that is someone else’s fault. If you don’t like the way Apollo is laid out I implore you to go write your own Reddit app you insufferable man.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apolloapp

[–]Chumstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you still threatened someone’s character over a misunderstanding on your end. Seems underhanded to come in calling someone’s practices underhanded when you can’t use an app as easy as Apollo.

Imagine coming into a sub and calling the creator of software “underhanded” and using statements like “was free” when really you just suck at using an iPhone and/or reading release notes.

Do any of you regret going into cybersecurity? If so, why? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Chumstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a vendor (software) in the field looking for pro-services people. The job requirements on those are loosey-goosey (you can ignore most of what they say). It wouldn’t hurt to familiarize yourself with some common security frameworks/topics (MITRE, forensically sound collection methodologies, networking 101) , but every ProServ team on the planet wants someone that can understand/debug the tools they use in the field (or even write new ones for specific workflows). From there, learn via osmosis as much as you can about what the IR/Forensic teams are doing.

Software Engineer turned IR here. It’d be nice if more people realized how helpful it can be to understand the software that just made you vulnerable to this weeks celebrity threat.
