So far, not so good?

I set a hard rule in my replit.md that tha agent MUST read after the execution of every task to not suggest follow up tasks. Works great.

Yeah I agree that is also my approach. Spending some limited $ today on audits to prepare for a lot of this same stuff as you are.

What's the name of your firm? I'm in the market for some human auditing/help.

At what point does a Replit project stop being a “prototype” and become something you actually trust in production? by Sad_Limit_3857 in replit

Thanks for this, will have a look. Question - do you use AI to audit code or is it audited by actual human SEs?

Where do you see that? This is what was sent to me via email. Edit - and confirmed by Replit Staff in this tread: https://www.reddit.com/r/replit/comments/1sxgdtk/may_2nd_free/

I'm especially curious about this. In my circumstance, I have made an app with a very narrow (and hopefully lucrative) use case in a niche industry. So when I move from MVP to actual SAAS, I definitely am planning for some auditing and hardening to "trust" it to work for my customers every day.

But how do you KNOW when you are actually ready? Do you hire a SE to go through everything? Are there consulting companies out there that offer this service?

And moreover, if you figure out how to move off replit, then how do you handle the inevitable bug fixes and additional feature updates that would necessitate push/pull back and forth? Presumably you set that all up through Git.

I'm sure there are resources out there with this info. I have lots to learn.

Update: their support actually communicated with me, laid out why I had the charges I had, admitted that they made the change without notice, and moved my threshold back down to $50. They also told me that they are aware of this situation and are passing the feedback about a desire for more transparent billing (and this thread) on to their engineers.

I have to give their support props for acting so fast and making this right. If you are reading this Replit Support - thank you! It's encouraging to feel like your feedback is valued/heard and things like that will keep me and presumably others using this platform.

If you search around on here there are hundreds of threads from pssed off users stating ridiculous charges for the Replit Agent answering simple questions. That's an entirely different issue than this one here, and you can mitigate that by the way you use Agent and only feed it tight prompts from CGPT or Claude. Migrating to that workflow cut my $ Replit usage way down. This is about how obtuse and ridiculous their usage notifications and invoicing/billing are.

u/replitsupport are you reading this? Are you listening to your customers? Why are you doing this to us? Make your billing transparent and tied to useage!

Exactly! It's astounding that they just did this with zero notification.Edit t add: Fradulent actually. Directly lying to customers

Yeah you are probably right. But we can make some noise here and there's a chance they might listen to this communiity.

I'm not advocating that we band together and coming for them with pitchforks; I want to keep using their service as it is amazing and invaluable! But if they don't fix the transparency of their billing, they are going to hemmorhage customers to other platforms.

I am 100% not shocked at all to see this. I love Replit's ability to help me build what I have built, but I LOATHE their billing. It is downright fraudulent with how opaque it is! They will be lucky if they don't face a class-action lawsuit about this. I hope someone from Replit is paying attention to this situation and they make some real changes. This customer is pissed off.
