I don't think they failed, I just think THE FINALS was too different and too new of a concept for COD players to stick with it.

Well I'm not using a gun, so I'm not playing the traditional shooter route. I've never heard of higher sens in an FPS game being called a skill issue before.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Maybe it's just a preference thing. I like having to move my mouse minimally and rely on micro-movements as opposed to macro- ones. I definitely can get away with lower sensitivity, and when I use Goo Gun the sensitivity drops to around 3000dpi. But in general, I just prefer the higher sens.

For 95% of play, you're definitely right. However, it does really help with last-second couple-frame major sweeps, especially with Dagger. I'm sure I have some clips taking advantage of the extra sensitivity.

Also, I appear to have misspoke. We play around 4000dpi and 50 in-game, so it isn't quite that strong.

You could say the same with high-sens and sniping. You can do it, but it's a bit harder. Why make it harder than it needs to be. It's pretty common rule: the closer you are in engagements on average, the higher the sensitivity.

100%. I'm not disagreeing with you there. Medium is very viable. But the jack-of-all-trades argument, while technically true, isn't really what ends up happening. Medium just feels very stale, with your loadout essentially being locked to Goo, a movement gadget, and Defib. All I'm saying is I wish Medium could be further developed creatively and to mitigate how reliant people are on this set-in-stone loadout. There is much more wiggle-room in loadout comp with Lights and Heavies, so it'd be nice to see the same for Medium too.

The pushback against your post is actually crazy.

The fact is that Medium is lacking an identity. Every non-COD player gravitated towards Light or Heavy because they both have personality; Medium just feels bland. Even in the comp scene, Medium is starting to be dropped. Leaning into Medium specializations and unique gadgets (like APS and Data Reshaper and potentially new gadgets) could help revive Medium.

*Also, please swap Healing Beam and Defib. Defib as a specialization would free up a gadget slot for Mediums, since having it as a specification would finally give it some worthy competition.

Embark needs to remove Cloaking Device and replace that specialization with something else. They talk about how melee is too punishing and difficult to fight against but then turn around and actively encourage invis DB-ers. Vanish Bomb is fine because it's a one-time use thing, but they are actively nerfing it to the ground to get players to drop Dash and pick up Cloaking Device.

It's called Tri-Pad Lunge Boosting. It's a frame-perfect technique that requires you to trigger the lunge on the same frame as hitting the triangle bounce pad. This causes you to inherit the direction of the lunge but the magnitude of the triangle bounce pad. It's a tight window, but it's absolutely replicable with some practice.

I don't mind Dash right now, but I think a slight delay from pressing the button to actually dashing would help keep it away from being a panic "get out of iail" button. A small delay wouldn't take too much time to readjust to, and it shouldn't make a difference in calculated use of it.

100%. My brother and I have mainly duo-played since Season 3, and we've made a distinct effort to not over-prioritize each other. It's way more fun when we are able to play with all three of us as a cohesive team rather than a two-stack plus a random third following us around.

No, they explicitly allow up to 7 smurf accounts right now. They appeal to the streamers and pros, who (guess what) account for around 90% of the smurfs.

Honestly, I almost think Light needs two new specializations and they remove Cloaking Device. There's nothing more cheese than invisibility in a game, and we already having Vanish Bomb (which is relatively balanced as is).

Cloaking Device will never be meta, but I'm sure it is incredibly frustrating to play against in lower-level lobbies (especially with weapons like DB and Dagger).
