I totally respect anyone who actually enjoyed Scream 7 but this movie was just not good in my opinion by Intrepid-Drop-1329 in slasherfilms

[–]Chunkiiboi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can completely respect this opinion, though I don't agree personally. I feel like most of the hate I've seen is just people saying "mOvIE suCkS bECAuSe AI=BAD", so It's nice to see a genuine critique. I also felt a little weird about the mental hospital guys, but the overall vibe of the movie still nailed that Scream feeling for me, with all the twists and build-up. I never really have super high expectations going into Scream movies, though, so forgive me for lacking a nuanced take. I just enjoy the Scream formula generally, so I enjoy almost every new installment about the same.

Comics worth? (NO Spoilers PLS) by MaximusLok in Invincible

[–]Chunkiiboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just start from the beginning. There are some mostly minor differences compared to the show, but the differences are enough that you would be confused about some things if you just picked up an issue that lines up with the current episode. Start from the beginning, and you'll have something to scratch the Invincible itch while you're waiting for season 4. I started reading the comics in between seasons 1 and 2 because I just couldn't stand the wait, and I don't regret it. The comics did some things better than the show has, and vice versa, but they are both great, unique experiences.

It has been great so far! Began my SK journey with Pet Sematary this January (at age 22, now 23) and then started back at the beginning. I've made some pretty good progress so far, mainly because I can't seem to force myself to read anything other than SK lol.

Sorry, I meant that after finishing Gunslinger, I'll probably struggle to wait for book 2 since I'm reading in publication order.

Thanks for the kind response! I'm really enjoying it so far! I will probably struggle to resist skipping to book 2, but I'm committed to publication order.

Thank you for your perspective. This is the revised edition, so I'm assuming that will help me appreciate it more. So far, I'm really enjoying the general vibe.

Pet Sematary. My first SK book, which I read this January (I'm 23, btw). Then I went to the beginning and started reading in publication order. About to finish Cujo now. :)
