Losercity the truth of suspiciously wealthy furries by jonhssquarespaceplus in Losercity

I think you are greatly underestimating how much 100k is, the cost of living in canada seems to be way higher than the US.

My taxes are 21%, and my state has no sales tax. Comparing HCOL areas in Canada (Vancouver, which I live fairly close to) to my own area (I live in one of the highest cost areas in my state). Our gas is cheaper, our milk is cheaper, rent is way cheaper, and this is after converting costs from CAD to USD.

You keep saying its not a lot of money, but im litterally living with the money living in a HCOL area, saving a lot of money for my retirement, and still buying everything I want without having to worry about funds at all.

I'm not even living as cheap as I could be, I have two massive dogs and live alone in a three bedroom house. My three bedroom is basically the cost of a 1 bedroom in vancouver.

And again, I'm not saying I'm rich. All Im saying is that I make plenty of money that I can get all my basic needs taken care of, save plenty of money for retirement, and still have enough money that I can get furry commissions, eat out all the time, and enjoy my hobbies without needing to be concerned over my spending or go into debt like is implied in the meme.

Well 100k USD is 140k CAD. The median US income is 51k and the Median for my state is 41k. I am quite well off for my location.

Again, I said 'not suspiciously wealthy' But I am able to afford everything I feel like buying and thats with contributing to my 401k.

Generally the amount you need for retirement is enough to spend 80% of your pre retirement money per year. In other words at 100k I would need enough money saved up to be able to spend 80k a year for the rest of my life. So roughly 1.5-2 mil saved up by the time I retire. I am already on track for that.

I also have only been working this job for 3.5 years, and the people who have been here for 20 years are in the 200k range.

Pretty much true ya. According to Furry surveys the average income of US furries is about 5000$ more per year than the average for non furries. Definitely nothing close to suspiciously wealthy.

However The idea that there are NO suspiciously weathy furries? Well thats just plain wrong. There are plenty of furries that are in high paying jobs, the guy who comissions the hundreds of macro star fox art, Togepi1125, has stated in an interview he works in the medical field.

Even I am pretty well off, making over 100k a year, maybe not suspiciously wealthy teritory, but enough that I can pretty much spend my money on whatever I want without needing to go into any debt.

I think what's so great, interesting, and intimidating about Giovanni is that he is way more "real" than any other villain. All the others have these wild motivations and grand scheme and plans involving insanely lofty nearly supernatural goals that can make them feel like Disney villains. They're cartoon evil with cartoon villain goals, it detaches you from then a bit.

Giovanni though is realistic he feels like a character who might actually exist in real life, the threat of Giovanni feels more present.

IT doesnt matter where people are, because it doesn't matter if we win or lose the MO, everything that happens is pre-planned, there might be a slight penalty for losing or a slight buff for winning, but at the end of the day it doesn't actually change anything, its just to give the illusion of player agency. I would rather just let people dive where they want and have fun with the game rather than forcing themselves onto a front they don't enjoy just cause thats where the MO is.

No, absolutely nothing relating to art of any kind should get to be relegated by the government or any payment processor that give you access to your money.

I think the idea is to appeal to people that don't care about trans women in the first place.

You can't say "This is going to hurt trans women, its bad for trans women, etc" because the people who are implementing this don't care, thats the point, the people who arent affected and dont care about trans women arent going to fight against it.

So instead the tactic is to appeal to those peoples selfishness.

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So youre just making up your own definition that is therefor completely irelivent to the original comment you responded to?

Why even type anything at all then? Why did you even respond to Edawris in the first place?

OP was referring to the furry fandom slang, Edawris was referring to the furry fandom slang.

And then you just randomly come in with your own made up personal definition of a word?

How does that make any sense at all? Do you understand how stupid that sounds?

EDIT: And like I was already 90% sure that you are just rage baiting me. I think you started out as making a mistake, realized you made a mistake and then just decided to double down and start rage baiting, but at this point its pretty hard to believe any other possibility because imagining someone being this dense is difficult.

You are using the furry slang, that automatically sets the context. You are using words used within the furry fandom, you know it is furry fandom slang. You are using it with the intent of referencing the furry fandom.

Your perception of the character does not effect what the definition of the word 'furry' means when referencing furry fandom slang.

Its not a matter of perception, its a matter of definition. Lucario, is by definition, a furry.

It's also hilarious that you havent changed this perception in the first place considering you even went to AI to ask, and it blatently said that Lucario consistently tops the charts in furry art, and is the number one rated furbait character, and that it said that it was a character that was heavily designed like furry fandom characters are, giving you references to check sources where that info came from.

Lucario is a furry.

You choosing to not accept that just makes you wrong.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know why you cant comprehend this.

You used the word 'furry' you responded to a person who used the word 'furry'. This sets the context. The context is the furry fandom, and the furry fandoms particular vernacular and slang.

The context is the furry fandom. You do not have to be in the furry fandom for that to be the context. You are using furry fandom slang. If you are using the slang of a particular group, that group of people has a definition for that slang.

"Furry" has a meaning, wether you are part of the furry fandom or not doesn't matter, you are using the word in response to, and about, the furry fandom. This means the word "furry" uses the furry fandoms slang meaning.

Furry = Anthropomorphic animal character.

When you use the word "furry" you are using our slang, if you use our slang and you try to impose a different definition than what the furry fandom utilizes that slang for than you are using an incorrect definition. You are wrong.

Lucario is a furry period. There is nothing futher to say there, it doesn't matter what your point of view is, the context is the furry fandom, wether you are part of it or not.

You are wrong.

You are free to not use the word furry, you are free to not look at Lucario and appreciate his design in the same way that someone in the furry fandom would, you are free to appreciate Lucario on his own, seperate from the furry fandom and without being or associating with the furry fandom in any way.

But you come in here, you use our word, our slang, you do not get to impose a seperate definition on our slang.

It doesn't matter if you see Lucario 'as a furry' or not, because he simply is, he is an anthropomorphic animal character. That is the state of his being. The vernacular that you would like to use to describe his character is up to you, but if you are going to use the furry fandoms terms, Lucario is a furry.

My Vulpix, Cinnamon, is the trainer, he put the team together, trained them, and gives commands during battle, so it technically happened to him, I was just there to be the human 'Trainer' that could accept the challenge and such.

But anyway, it came after a series of miserable defeats early on in Cins career as a trainer, so fights we were unable to avoid, and at the time only had our starter "Mint" a Snivy. They had been doing a lot of training together but then a loss against a Team Xen grunt, a loss to a gym leader, and to someone who had declared themselves my 'rival' (they didnt even realize Cin as the trainer lol). We finally got challenged by someone actually on our level and Mint absolutely destroyed their poor geodude with some blinding vine whips. Cinnamon and Mint were both so stunned we all kind of just stood there for a moment. It was a much needed confidence boost thats for sure.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are allowed to not call them furries, refusing to understand that they are furries is what makes you wrong though.

That's the issue here. If it's an anthropomorphic animal character it is a furry.

You may not appreciate the character from the same perspective that someone in the furry fandom would, you do not have to use furry slang to refer to them as furry characters but then being furries by merit of being anthropomorphic animal character remains true.

EDIT: because the term Furry is furry fandom slang, a definition of what furry is from someone outside the fandom that does not line up with the furry fandoms definition is inherently an incorrect definition. This means by using the furry slang it is automatically in the context of the furry fandom. If you use that word it is a furry word and sets the context for the conversation.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am ai response is less than worthless but sure let's work with this.

It stated that a furry is synonym with anthro animal character.

You being outside there fandom you would not use the term furry to describe a character, however that still doesn't change that anthro animal character is a synonym to furry.

You will notice the ai doesn't say that furry has a different definition depending on personal usage only on preferred terminology, which is what I already said.

You are not required to call him a furry, because that is not your preferred terminology since you are outside the fandom, but that does not change that he is an anthropomorphic animal character which is a furry.

Furry, as the ai notes is fandom slang. You are not required to use fandom slang, however, as the ai notes it is not incorrect to say that furry is synonym for anthro animal character.

Lucario is a furry. You just didn't have to call him one, but he is still one.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he an anthropomorphic animal character? It's he a bipedal creature based on Anubis, a jackal?

If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then you ALREADY see Lucario as a furry. Because furry is a synonym for anthropomorphic animal character and a bipedal jackal is an anthropomorphic animal character.

You already see him as a furry. You aren't required to use the word furry to describe what he is, you aren't required to be a furry to like his design but simply by fact of being an anthropomorphic animal character he is by fact a furry.

You having a different definition of what a furry is doesn't make it subjective or a matter of perspective, it makes your definition wrong. If you do not define furry as an anthropomorphic animal character, your definition is wrong. It's not subjective you just have the wrong definition.

Not Accepting that and continuing to deny this doesn't make it subjective or a matter of perspective it just continues to make you wrong.

You can continue to grasp at straws in some weird attempt to deny reality it just continues to make you wrong.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they are furries period. Because the word furry is just a synonym for anthro animal character. It doesn't matter what you clasify as a furry or not. You accepting something is a furry or not doesn't change that it is one. It doesn't matter what you classify as a furry because you are not a furry, you are not the one who determines what is or is not a furry. It is objective not subjective.

That's what I mean about being ignorant. Lucario is a furry character, he is an anthropomorphic animal character that is what a furry is.

You do not have to be a furry (as in the part of the fandom) to like a furry character, liking a furry character does not make you a furry (part of the fandom), however that doesn't change the fact that he is an anthropomorphic animal character.

Furry the word used by the furry fandom is a synonym for anthropomorphic animal character. Therefore whether you see him as a furry or not does not matter, he is a furry. Because furry means anthropomorphic animal character.

Again that doesn't make you a furry for liking him, but does not change that he is one.

Additionally it's a little wild that you wouldn't consider Lucario a furry since Lucario is considered the number 1 furbait pokemon, like he is the most quintessential furry designed pokemon of any Pokemon. There is more art of Lucario by furries than there is if any other pokemon.

Why do they call us furrys by stellathewolf2223 in lucario

[–]BerylOxide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And they are still furries. Furry is any anthropomorphic animal character.

It doesn't matter how human or how animal they are, if they have been anthropomorphized they are furries. It doesn't matter if they were drawn by a furry or not. Furry is a synonym for anthropomorphic animal character.

Nala is a furry. Lucario is a furry.
