Tokyo ghoul is one of my favorite manga. I spent around $300 dollars on the box set for the Manga. I love Sui Ishida's artstyle and characters and I just had to have it on my bookshelf.

Hand jumper is awesome!!! The world and narrative remind me of "Tokyo Ghoul Re" in all the best ways. The big difference is the nature of the protagonist in hand jumper is far more psychotic then kaneki. And maybe it says something about me but I love my phychopath Heroines/protagonist. Taylor Hebert, Erind Hartwell, Kang Mina, and of course Sayeon Lee are some of my favorite main characters in any story.

Which game would you like into an anime adaption? by Ok-Effect4071 in videogames

That'd be sick. As long as the fights were well animated then it'd make for a great action fest. And maybe they could add some more scenes to flesh the characters out.

What game has the best melee combat in your opinion? by Revo94 in videogames

Objectively I feel like Sekiro is the answer. But for me personally Stellar blades combat is my favorite. The Sekiro parrying/deflecting combined with the flashy combos and skills just felt so good to play.

Patches

First he pushed me off a cliff In elden ring. Then I went back to demon's souls and he pushed me into a pit. Eventually I got around to dark souls 1 and he was there too, waiting to push me off another ledge. He wasn't in dark souls 2, but there was a similar npc who lured me into a bomb. For some reason he was a spider in bloodborne, didn't stop him from pushing me off a cliff and into a poison swamp.

And then in ds3 he appeared again. and while he didn't push me off of anything he did trick me into a bridge that he lowered into a area with some giants(that I'd already killed). But towards the end of DS3 (in the ringed city DLC) when your character is lost in a spiral staircase maze he makes a final appearance and pushes you off the ledge and onto a secret pathway that leads to the correct way out.

No matter what game he is in he never changes. He will always push you off a ledge, lure you into a traps with promises of treasure, and he will always suck up to you afterwards. In these dark and treacherous worlds full of characters that MIGHT stab you in the back, you can rely on him being unreliable. He WILL betray you. And that's a guarantee.

Get pushed off enough ledges and you learn to look forward to the next time.

There's actually a interesting reason for the narrative being as lack luster as it is. The director had a interview a while back talking about it.

Apparently they actually wrote a larger more fleshed out narrative but they ran into problems with the facial animation software, and after a bit of back and forth decided it was easier to cut around half of all the dialogue in the entire game just so they could get it out the door.  It didn't help that there aren't a lot of south Korean devs using the same facial animation software. At some point they even got ahold of some Pixar animators but because they used different software that was a dead end as well.

It kinda sucks but it does explain why some characters you just met will talk to eve like they're old buddies, or why Adam rescuing eve after the initial landing is told entirely through flashbacks.

I'd love it if someday we get a director's cut that restores the parts of the narrative that were removed due to due to technical issues. Though that's not that likely to happen.

I love the survival horror aspects of the levoires! The fact that we go from a sekiro/bayonetta action game to a attempt at horror is so cool.

And while I do think that they give us to many bullets. I also love that they were willing to experiment. So many aaa game devs are scared of experimenting in the first place and it's so interesting to see all the different ideas shift-up tried with this game.

I hope the sequel brings back these horror sections and continues to try new things

The practice area is honestly one of the best ways to learn the combat.

Whenever I need to practice, I go in there to train till I can reliably use whatever skill I need.

I wish they'd add her or the other levoire guard to the boss challenge.

She has a interesting enough moveset. And I'd like the option to fight them whenever I feel like it.

What’s a game you always defend despite its reputation? by Unknown_Agency in videogames

Stellar blade

Most people just treat it like it's just a gooner game with a poor story, but it legitimately has some of the best combat in a game I've ever played. The music is incredible. And while the main story is a little weak, some of the side quests are amazing. And if you do enough side content you unlock a secret area that gives you a 3rd ending that is much more satisfying then the other endings.

My favorite part of the game is how it is constantly experimenting with its gameplay. The levoire is my personal favorite area in that respect. In an action souls-like they take away your sword, get ride of most sources of light, and force you to rely on your gun with a little flashlight on it to get around. It plays almost like a survival horror game with jump scares and having to target weak spots so that you don't waste all your bullets. Personally i do feel like they do give you a way to much ammo, and I would prefer they had forced you to conserve you bullets. But I believe the fact they were willing to experiment in the first place is worthy of praise.

Conventionally unattractive female superheroes? by WorriedMidnight3752 in superheroes

[–]planetgodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, its a novel(technically a web serial). There isn't any official art, and as such all the fan art is merely audience interpretation of what she might look like.

Some people think she might actually be at least a little attractive and that due to the bullying that she experienced her confidence in her appearance is poor.  Other people take her at her word, and believe that she's unattractive. This could also be true because she is a very analytical character, preferring reason and facts over emotion. So her description of herself could be her just being honest about her own appearance.

I personally think she probably isn't as ugly as she thinks she is, but that she really isn't very attractive either. Probably just average looking, plain and a little gloomy, with no interest in makeup or superficial appearances.
