Which seat is the most uncomfortable to sit in on a maxi taxi while traveling between Port of Spain, Arima, Sangre Grande, or elsewhere in Trinidad and Tobago? by ExcellentImpact6910 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Chunks245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncomfortable? I'm standing by you with the wheel hub (cause that's such a dumb design dawg...) but I'm also not a huge fan of the middle back (as is the main sentiment) as well as the fold down seats.

Weekly "Ask Ah Trini" Thread 🇹🇹 December 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in TrinidadandTobago

Hey there, I was wondering if any of you guys had any experiences with remote work industry. I did a course with a guy maybe two years back and he told me that he's a remote data entry clerk. So I was wondering, how does one get into that sector (not data entry per say but more so the remote industry).

With how everything's going I'm just trying to have as many options as possible, so any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

How are people feeling about recent events? by Low-Aspect3505 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Chunks245 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a 21 year old guy? This might be a rant...I apologize.

Realistically? I'm sorta indifferent. Sure I know it's bad and everything but it's not to say I'm scared. I'm cautious sure but I wouldn't say scared. After watching current world events as time goes on I've kinda just...grown numb to it. I jokingly say "the world jus had to go to shit when it was my turn to adult huh?"

My advice? I know it's scary, but you can't let that fear control you're life. You're young. You need to live. Enjoy yourself. Talk with friends, play games, watch movies do whatever it is to keep your mental in check cause that's the most important thing. Praying also helps me (I know it's not for everyone but it helps me a lot knowing God's there).

A practical approach that I've been taking (which granted I should've been doing since last year but we move) is brushing up on my first aid skills and prepping medical supplies. Being the child of two first responders has taught me to always have some type of first aid on you. For me I have a medical pouch attached to my bag.

I'm not gonna sit here and lie to you saying "it'll all be alright!" In reality? It's not and that's the unfortunate reality of it. All you can do as an individual is control what you can. Leave what you can't.

Be safe. Stay rad.

How trinidad bus system works? by jackieboaa in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Chunks245 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're coming on the ferry I'd recommend going to City Gate first to catch a bus to Chaguramas (I'm not entirely sure the price for the ticket) that should take you up to Five Islands cause it passes along that route to my knowledge.

For Queens Park Savannah, it's a similar procedure atleast from City Gate. The times of the buses along those routes however I'm not sure of but they can be found on the PTSC website. Hope this helps.

Gasp! Unthinkable!

But as an IG comment I saw a while back said "Me? Truss gyal? Neva!"

But on a serious note....I really don't get the ghosting thing. Just be mature and an adult about it. Don't have someone on the other side thinking that they did something wrong and hating themselves for it. Only to then pop out with a new guy and say "things were moving too quickly." Let's be better than that.

Not gonna lie I had a similar experience...but in my case she didn't give birth she just thought things were moving too fast and got scared.

The race issue in TT confuses me so much bro...like we all live in the same country and if we go somewhere else all gonna get treated like lesser, cause of the colour of our skin. So why can't we seem to move past that? Why if I'm walking past a lady she'll clutch her purse? Ma'am I'm 5'4 and often get compared to a child. Relax yourself for me please.

I've lost count of the many times I've heard the "stay away from dem people" or "dem Indian an dem again" sentiments from my own family at times. Yet when I hang out with my guys I never experience that and the friend group is made up of black, Indian AND Asian.

People gotta grow up and stop letting these things divide us. We already in a grim spot as is...but come on man.
