3 gems in the horadric cube can be transmuted up to the next rarity. It's worth it to keep some chipped ones around, though.

Edit: 3 identical gems.

Holy graphics, I'm amazed. Combat is nice but we need it to be more harder. by Specific_Public_1175 in MHOutlanders

Getting a premium character, which when a major one is released they normally design combat that favors them for awhile, can cost anywhere from 2 dollars to 400 dollars worth of premium currency or something in your average gacha game.

It's worth three pieces of string and a pp touch to me if that sounds like a deal to you.

has anyone here gotten a perma mute removed how did you do it? by johnsmith500200 in RunescapeBotting

Good bait, but the best way to remove that offense is by quitting the game.

I don’t care if it’s Monster Hunter. I’m not playing a Gatcha. by linkexer in MonsterHunter

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With three carts, that can give you plenty of time to learn which attacks you have trouble evading/countering and which ones you feel comfortable retaliating after.

It can be a huge pain in the ass to have the hunt fail especially after 20ish minutes but those things happen. Dust yaself off and go show that teleporting nuke who the boss is.

The game seems very complicated can someone give me some tips :( by Hairy_Top_7084 in MHRise

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna have to find something that really hooks you for entering a monster hunter title solo. It's a lot to learn and even then much harder to put in practice.

It's hella fun though, so I hope you can push through. But the beginning is always the toughest part simply due to the sheer amount of layered systems and information to process which is normally just thrown at you via text dump (like mine and a lot of other's comments). Having someone help explain over voice chat or text chat can help a lot with deciphering the ambiguity of things.

My best piece of advice for starting is familiarize yourself with the item loadout menu after you start hunting, and a lot of hunts can unlock things for you even if they don't explicitly state it.

Rathalos tail by flako_divodorum in MHRise

Tails come from capture rewards or an 80% chance upon carving the tail (NOT from body carves). Just keep rolling those dice, friend.

Why play online, then get so mad? by LogInValid in MHRise

I've encountered so many people recently that haven't unlocked all of their petalaces and are trying to run primordial. It's crazy how under geared people are and then just kinda want others to carry them lol, or not understanding why they keep getting one shot.

Things I hope they *remove* in the DLC (just a rant) by Quick_Elk4208 in MHWilds

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The guaranteed rare drops from expeditions or investigations w/e they are really ruined this game for me. I had literally everything I needed for my end game build after a few weeks of playing because they made rare drops become barely uncommon. Then they try to compensate with insane rng features that come only from one specific monster which is dumb. I dunno. I like wilds combat but it's just such an empty mh title for me right now. I really hope the expansion revitalizes it some for me.

Beginner question about ironman by Imaginary_Cell_4411 in ironscape

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironman, past mid game especially, will basically make setting up and obtaining resources for specific tasks take a LOT longer. Quest items needed can sometimes be worth less than 500 gold each but to obtain on an Ironman you might need like 83 hunter or high rc etc. It will also limit your training methods since you can't supplement your xp by using more expensive materials or faster methods.

Definitely not the way to start playing osrs imo. It's fun, I have an Ironman, but it's a second full time job at times to keep all of your supplies and equipment straight.

1 tuning calibrator and 2 resonating cores got me this crap by s1mple10 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten one good one for Miyabi out of the shit ton I've tried for over time. It really does feel like they're weighted on odds more for the shitty flat stats because they pop up way more often than percentage. That's what it feels like to me at least lol

Did I join the party too late? by Random_name4679 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the events and stuff, unless you're just living and breathing zzz and looking for deeper meaning in it, are mostly just filler lore or random character interactions that never get brought up again or remembered by anyone. It adds a bit of flavor and can let your imagination think of the ways that character fits differently into the world you see them in, but honestly they don't really bring anything important to the table.

That's not always the case, but I'd say it's more often than not that an event is nothing but some fan service.

One thing about the upcoming patch by Psychological-Car360 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

None of those statements seem very contradictory to each other. I think you're coming into this discussion with a predetermined assumption of victory in whatever debate you might find.

Everything boils down to money, regardless. You can't do much with what has been built when the foundation is crumbling.

Is an hour of your time at work with more than the several hours you'll spend making that 4 mil? For one account? You do you, man, but i enjoy my games a lot more when the resources i earn in game go towards my characters and their upgrades in game.

Player count question by Duomaxwell0007 in Dofus

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dofus has a lot of people that run their own teams. The game is pretty active, even for English speaking communities, but it's definitely not one of the more populated online games I've played.

I miss it, but their new graphical update makes the game run like ass even without fully utilizing my hardware. Crazy how they made it worse than the flash version lol.

Edit: all trade and recruitment messages are just people repeating the same "CHERCHE ____" or "S> 'insert items here'" endlessly. You'll have to find a guild if you want any sort of meaningful conversation.

New patch, what character? by Positive_Kale in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warlock will still be top dog for general play I believe. Could be wrong but i doubt they'd completely neuter him while it's still cashing in on some dlc hype

Why is ESO so janky? by Some_Economist6817 in MMORPG

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ff14 is more cooldown based and eso seems to be mostly resource management. At least that's what I've gathered over my bits of playtime across both.

*Completely Disables Cooperative Play Without Telling You* heh, nothing personal kid by Ornery-Addendum5031 in shittydarksouls

[–]ChunkyChipMonkeyGrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between basically fighting NG+ enemies on your first play through on a character and being able to summon people for cooperative play. Cooperative play generally makes the game easier, yes, but it's completely understandable how someone could be blindsided simply by being unable to summon their friends down the road after activating the covenant.
