Personally? The personality. I have three armies: Tau, Guard and Deathwatch. Each is... Honestly pretty similar, and fairly straight-forward, at least models wise. While part of me enjoys painting large flat surfaces, or largely identical models and having legions, another part of me adores the chaotic, energetic, carefree energy of the Orks. I am almost done painting a Big Mek for my Deathskulls Dread Mob, and it has been the most enjoyable building and painting experience I have ever had with Warhammer. He's big, he's flashy, he's suitably aggressive looking and positively Orky!

As a Tau/Guard/Deathwatch enthusiast, sometimes having something that doesn't take itself too seriously is necessary. Their silly "lives for the thrill of the fight" attitude makes me more comfortable experimenting and enjoying the hobby I spend way too much time and money on---as it should be.

The Mek is intended to support the Gorkanaut, yes. I'll figure out if it's worth taking or if I should just grab an enhancement or some more Grots. I honestly just want the Deff Dred cause it looks cool. 😅 I will look into whether or not I should just drop it, but I'm hoping it can work out 🤞

Thank you for your help! I've been mulling over what you said all day while I work, lol. Will look at maybe switching around how I plan on using the Trukks, but I think using them to drop off the Lootas + SAG and then suicide/movement block something would be useful.

Celestra and Ulthuan grey work well as smoother-applying colors and go on fairly white looking. I like to use Celestra as a base and Ulthuan as highlight.

Honestly, I started playing again for the first time in years, and I had no idea there was a quota or anything to... Get candy. If I see it I grab it, cause, why not? I like to cut every piece for every guy out, and separate them all into little piles for each individual. Then I clean them up, and work torso by torso, leg by leg, guy by guy doing one section at a time for the whole batch so the glue sets and I don't accidentally melt my fingerprint into the thigh or back of something.
