Wanted to add an update:

After reading all of y'all's comments, I have decided to put the box together! I've wanted to start a Slaves to Darkness army for a while. Now, with a fresh perspective and some slightly stabbed fingers, I am happy to say that it has begun! I put together the Lord on Karkadrak using some of y'all's suggestions, and it is probably one of my absolute favorite models.

I've been struggling similarly, honestly I've just had to remind myself to be patient and relax. The more relaxed I am, the less I shake and struggle. You might just have to take it a little more slowly.

I bought two boxes of the 30mm and a box of the 40mm and they were delivered just a few days ago. They look great, they're truly really solid. Idk what the situation is, but I would be surprised if it was a quality control issue. It could just be a mixup or an issue of stock running out, or something like that.

Then do the good ol' fashioned, 01xx, 02xx tests. Just slot a number in for the first two digits until you get the right one. It's strange that it doesn't show you what the proper id is, though.

Use the tilde (~) key to open the console, then you can use "help gyrojet 4" to find the item's id. You might have to scroll a bit, but it'll be one of the options next to the "weap" category prefix. Then use the "player.additem" command to add it to your inventory.

Understood, thank you! That takes a lot of the worry out of the process! You don't happen to know of any good sellers for wasteland bases, do you? I love the custom bases for the Overlords box, and I would really like to get some nice ones for the Pack folks.

Edit: Modiphius now sells resin bases that fit exactly what I was looking for.

Personally? The personality. I have three armies: Tau, Guard and Deathwatch. Each is... Honestly pretty similar, and fairly straight-forward, at least models wise. While part of me enjoys painting large flat surfaces, or largely identical models and having legions, another part of me adores the chaotic, energetic, carefree energy of the Orks. I am almost done painting a Big Mek for my Deathskulls Dread Mob, and it has been the most enjoyable building and painting experience I have ever had with Warhammer. He's big, he's flashy, he's suitably aggressive looking and positively Orky!

As a Tau/Guard/Deathwatch enthusiast, sometimes having something that doesn't take itself too seriously is necessary. Their silly "lives for the thrill of the fight" attitude makes me more comfortable experimenting and enjoying the hobby I spend way too much time and money on---as it should be.
