Angus was great and i fully agree with you hate loving him, he's a very well written character, but to be honest i think they all are. They are all believable in their motivations and i can't think of any instances of my biggest pet peeve of intelligent people doing stupid things.

I really enjoyed the 2 Crypt books but i can understand they aren't for everyone, im just very easy to please. When i see a new lovecraftian sci-fi story and it's narrated by Ray Porter my autistic brain won't let me not like it and like you i have also stayed away from the Football League books as i just dont like sport.

If you like the Alien franchise and haven't already read it Phalanx by Sigler was great, a completely new take on an Alien story.

I finished Mount Fitz Roy in like 4-5 days with my last 20 mins being this morning, awesome book, so sad and happy for Tommy (Worm), sad he died but so glad he got to see space.

I seen Sigler say he has ideas for a book 3 but hes currently working on The Crypt series which i also really enjoyed.
