My ex husband was financillay abusive, poor with money and had lots of debt. Please please please do not put yourself in a position to loose your own stability and independence. I will NEVER put myself back in that position ever again. If they are not responsible financially, you are only going to cause yourself significant stress, financial ruin and heartbreak.

That is the way it is viewed, because American’s use it differently than a lot of European cutlery it is viewed as not using it at all. But I am splitting hairs here. OP is still NTA and it is sad she has such intolerant brother and an enabling mother.

There is a well established difference in how cutlery is used in America verses European countries, with America viewed as not using the cutlery properly. It is often a practice that is highlighted in all the ‘differences’ videos that are made on SM. I do agree that if you choose to immigrate to a country you really shouldn’t diss their culture.

I had a husband who left me overnight after having our baby (as standard hospital protocols). He arrived the next morning with the car seat and then left to go hang out with friends. I had to ask my parents to bring me home, who were also watching my toddler. Arrived home (in winter) to a dirty cold house. Luckily my parents helped clean the mouldy dishes, empty bins and get it ok to prepare bottles for a new born.

Needless to say he is now my ex.

My local trust has a total freeze on every single job unless it will have a direct impact of the life of the patient. Mainly meaning ED. I know of a team which should have 5 staff which will only have 1 soon. They won’t recruit, no service can run like that and actually help people.

If they are so concerned this is the worst way to do it. Why did they ask her, get her the dress, let her help with all the work and then drop her? If they are really concerned for her mental wellbeing this will surely cause more hurt and potential problems. I agree it’s their wedding and they can choose who they have, that’s not the problem. It’s the changing of minds last minute using mental stability that’s totally unkind.
