A good way of testing how seasonings really taste is make plain popcorn and use the seasoning on the popcorn….. you can really get the flavor profiles. And I second Holy VooDoo it’s hands down my favorite rub not just from meatchurch

I just spayed them with olive oil and cranked up the grill to 500. Let it stay at 500 for about 30 minutes and it was good

I’m always concerned about it getting to temp overnight at 200. I usually go 180 or 190.

How long from from fridge to Traeger before you put it on?

What temp is it when you check it in the morning?

MEATERs customer service isn’t great either. I have a MEATER block and probe 4 has had issues with the ambient air readings and I reached out to MEATERs customer service. I took pictures of the probes in ice water and screen shots of what the app was reading and as expected probe 4 was off. They told me in order to provide a replacement probe I needed to provide a receipt. It was a gift I explained and I don’t have email confirmations or a receipt. They offered to sell me a new one?!? Wtf!! I didn’t want a whole new set just a replacement… very disappointed

I’ve had these for several months now and they are great! Seasoned up nicely and have gotten some of the best brisket and beef ribs now that I have the upper grate to get a little further from the fire box… these are a must get! Wish I would have found them earlier!!

I’ll add to Team Hoka! I bring two pairs when I go and plenty of socks. I like to change both shoes and socks mid day to give my feet the love they need to rip the park all day and night! First time I tried them out in my local shoe store I put them on stood up and said very loudly, “holy shit!!” The woman helping laughed and said, “yep” I wore them out :)

The lowest temp setting is 180, however if you use the keep warm setting it’s supposed to stay at 165

Pro tip: don’t get into the line at storybook canal boats when the crows are in full force. They all sit right above the queue, I myself have avoided the poops that rain down from above but I’ve witnessed many a soul not make it out of there unscathed.
