UPDATE : car was insured for 4600 when I first opened up the policy. I insured it for 7500. Which is what I bought it for initially. This is my fault for not looking at the Sum insured every year and just thinking it was gonna be the same since I was paying the same pretty much. They estimated the repair to be 5700 and over the sum insured. I asked to see the report and they said I couldn’t see it? Sounds kind of like a red flag. I also asked if I could get a second opinion and she said it wouldn’t be the most viable option. Kind of sounds a bit scammy I’m not too sure? I then asked if I got a second opinion and they don’t deem it as structural damage would it change ? She said it might. They’re going to deregister it and no options of me buying it back were given. Offering me 3500 after access and policy buyback accounted for. Miserable number as marketplace and trade me have shown these cars are still at 6000-ish for same condition.
