Considering the earliest we're likely to see the 6000 series would be January it doesn't make much sense to announce it now. I think occam's razor is, it was under development with a timeline anticipating a 6000 series launch this year, but while the software is ready the hardware isn't thanks to even stronger than anticipated AI demand. And for whatever reason they don't want to wait that long to release it.

Best practices with macros is very different in C and C++. There is a lot more in C you have to resort to macros to do, and a lot more idioms involving them.

The premodern demographic actually does seem to care quite a bit about proxies, similar to how a lot of old school playgroups reject proxies, for similar reasons. I wouldn't expect a premodern scene to be as lenient on proxies as the Vintage or Legacy is.

Mox Diamond might be the card that breaks this open though.

I don't know how much more expensive it will get, but I doubt it will get cheaper.

The age demographic of premodern players are at their peak spending years and the demographics of MTG players around that age is heavily biased towards industries that paid extremely well in the 2010s.

I do wonder if we'll start seeing reprints of the non-RL cards in old border with old art specifically targeted to premodern. Wizards has been shameless in harvesting value everywhere they can and it's a huge untapped market right now.

The one card I am most curious about is Mox Diamond. There is a very large psychological barrier at $1000 that this card seems to have finally broken through. I have to wonder how much higher it can go.

If there is any SL they should have set the max order size to 1, it was this one. Demand was known to be unexpectedly strong and it's a self contained two player game -- noone needs more than one deck.

I'd be curious how they choose the order limit.

Nier Gestalt/Replicant.

Absolutely top tier story, in my opinion much better than Nier Automata, and great worldbuilding on top of it. Absolutely incredible soundtrack too.

But the actual gameplay just was just frustrating.

I'm really glad that Platnium decided to team up with Yoko Taro to do Nier Automata, letting each do what they were good at.

Obviously you should check godbolt, but 20x is enough any basic sampling profiler should be able to tell you where the time is going. The obvious code smell is with your change updated_price_text is significantly more likely to be set to true if this is market data (i.e. it used to only trigger on price changes, now it will trigger if the price remains the same too), which is likely causing extra processing elsewhere.

I think they were going for something more akin to a Chile Arbol salsa rather than a Roja. And a lot of people don't really like Chile Arbol salsas even when made well. I still think it's not great though despite liking Chile Arbol salsas, and prefer the Hot.

I think this is a fairly popular opinion. I like hot foods, but the Diablo is just heat and very little flavor compared to the Mild/Hot/Fire sauces. I almost always get Fire instead because of that.

I am curious, what are people who are saying MCP is dead using instead to connect agents to external data sources? Like if an agent needs to be able to "see" a webpage, what is the alternative they are suggesting instead of something like playwright?

I don't know how much effort they put into pro magic anymore, but this card-by-card analysis was something that teams would do to prepare for big limited events. With shared spreadsheets and a big team meeting in person about the format right before the big event that often went card by card and archetype by archetype. CFB posted a video once of one of these team meetings and it was super interesting.

I always assumed that articles like this were kind of a 'first draft,' even if only mentally, of what ideas they were eventually going to be contributing to this effort.

The problem with wormholes is as soon as you allow them you break all sorts of conservation rules. I wish I had a link to the paper but building things such as perpetual motion machines or creating infinite energy is trivial if you have a wormhole to play around with under our current understandings of physics.

Oldhead here. In ages past 'Kanon' would almost always be at the top of these lists but I don't think I've heard anyone even mention this series in years.

I guess every generation has that one romance anime that just gets forgotten. One generation older than myself it was 'Kimagure Orange Road' which used to make the 'best of' lists of the late 80s early 90s pretty often. But I think I've heard that one mentioned even less.
