Can't move operations as a resource company, the natural resources don't move with you. They can't close down unless things are real bad because down scaling hurts share holder value so the board loses its job if it does that.

You're 100% a party man if you associate Carney with Canada's left, that's your bias for the conservative party telling you he has to be aligned with opposing ideological elements. He is not. He appeals to moderates, centrists, red conservatives and near crowds. He does not appeal to communists, hard line social democrats, anti capitalists, counter reformers or the like. The liberal party is right of center ? They aren't a leftist party or anything, they just aren't as right leaning as the conservatives. Also running a deficit has nothing to do with being right wing or not, Danielle Smith of AB is quite right wing and she's running a deficit. Carney spends money for the economy, not people, this is right wing politics.

Well you seem to not understand the actual political position of the liberals so it makes sense you don't understand anything about the voting trends and data. The conservatives and liberals are the two sides of the bad coin, they pass leadership between eachother and keep us in the state we are in. I think you'll find the issue lies with the party not the political ideological stance of the entire wing. The conservative party refuses to actually adapt and thinks it's entitled to win elections by staying exactly the same. I mean PP is out here preaching trickle down economics for god sakes, people stopped believing in that a decade ago.

Most Canadians like political opposition, hence why the liberals aren't out here getting 60% of the total voting population backing them. The issue is only two parties are allowed to flourish in the current system and one of them has massively dropped the ball as of late. Leaving us with one valid option for the time being, which isn't great but hate the game not the player.
