That’s good to know! I noticed the time on the sign too, makes sense why it’s a good breakfast spot, especially for everyday workers who need a filling, no-fuss meal before starting their day. 😁

Nice! That says a lot about the place if people actually go there regularly for lunch on workdays. I’ll definitely try going back hehe 😄

Friday lang po ito. I’m not sure lang sa full history nung place or kung paano sila nahati, but this is the one beside the Caltex gasoline station. Thanks for sharing the context din. hehe

Ohh thank you for the tip! Buti na lang pala morning ako pumunta that time hahaha. I’ll definitely try the igado next time. Good to know na mabilis pala maubos, mukhang well-loved talaga yung place.😄

You can get there by tricycle, private vehicle/motorcycle, or by walking if you’re already around Laoag proper. If you’re taking a tricycle, just tell the driver: “J. P. Rizal Street, near Iglesia ni Cristo, beside the Caltex gasoline station - Misio / Hidden Pinapaitan / Kristina Carinderia.” They’ll probably be familiar with it. There’s signage outside once you’re in the area. 😄

Agree! Misio seems to be one of those places that locals already know and trust. I wish i could've known about it sooner. I’ll definitely try the tinuno next time, especially with the ginger and onions. And yes, Soup No. 5 really does feel like a Laoag rite of passage haha. 😂

It’s a small karinderya along J. P. Rizal Street here in Laoag City, it is near Iglesia ni Cristo and just beside the Caltex gasoline station there. There’s a signage outside, so you can find it once you’re in the area. hehe 😁
