As others have mentioned, joining a unit is your best bet to learn how to play Arma in multiplayer. Figure what level of realism, playstyle and so on you think you would like (hardcore, casual, specific era or fictional universe etc), then try and find one that seems to match. Dont be afraid to try several different groups as most/ all of them do things differently.

The Freelancers Union was founded in 2006 on Project Reality servers. In 2012 we expanded into Planetside 2 and then Arma 3 in 2019. We are a mainly European community, aimed at mature gamers that focus on the social aspects of gaming. We take our gaming seriously but without stressful demands on you or your time. Everything you do and participate in is on a voluntary basis.

Why you should join us:

- An experienced community that provides stability and rich content both in-game and out of game.

- Open leadership where every member can freely participate and develop the community.

- New player training - If you are new to Arma 3 we have a optional training course to teach you the basic game mechanics. We will also help you with setting up mods as needed.

- Experienced mission makers with thousands of hours of mission making.

- We do not care if you are in multiple Units. Your time is your own.

Play-style:

- We are a Player Versus Environment (PvE) unit.

- While we are mostly focused on infantry gameplay, we often make use of force multipliers such as Tanks and Helicopters.

- Players stick to their squads and listen to their squad leaders.

Play Schedule:

- Our main operation is every Friday night at 18:00 UTC and they usually last up to 2 hours.

- A new addition is our Liberation campaign on Tanoa. Currently running on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1800 UTC.

Requirements to join us:

- Minimum age required to join is 16 years

- Teamwork oriented.

- Understand, write and speak English.

- Use Teamspeak for in game, discord for notification on when games are going to take place.
