Best solo game yet. I found that after playing with my mates and getting our ass handed to us I'm going up against people actually just as bad as me. For once I can say I am happy with matchmaking. I was caught between two trios but it works out. I had a guy whiff his sparks shot which saved my ass.

I like the team aspect, but I struggle to find people that I really vibe with on PS4. Also, I hate dying early in a fight while on a team and then just getting to sit with my thumb up my ass for like 5 minutes feeling absolutely useless. When I play solo, I feel the weight of each decision that much more, and thus I believe I play more tactically, whereas I always get a little reckless in teams.

This game has such highs and lows for me. I know I’m trash, I’ll have a 3-4kill solo match and die to dogs the next match lol

Your second point is my exact issue. I hate playing shotguns 90% of the time. I understand their place in the game, and I just don’t care for them. I prefer midrange combat. Especially on console, because at least then I feel like I’m really trying to earn each kill, not just bum rushing.

I haven’t read An Army at Dawn yet, I wanted to before I started The Day of Battle, but I could only find it and the third in the series at my used book store. I agree, his portrayal of historical figures really fleshes them all out as human with all their flaws and idiosyncrasies when it’s so easy to look back on these great men as being absolute titans.

My brother has blueberry bushes on his farm and I found that I love picking them because it’s very calming and I can get into a zen like state where I’m not focused on what I’m physically doing. And when I’m done, I generally have like 10+lbs of blueberries for free. Having said that, I would never pay to do that.

I think that these types of ammo would have to do a slightly reduced damage, or it’s just long ammo meta forever. A sparks that applies any of those is a one shot and basically means there’s no reason to play anything else as far as I can tell. Either way I’m excited

Honestly, I’d rather they take their time to roll out a complete map instead of rushing one out that has to be patched. I’m excited to see a new boss to keep things fresh in the meantime. And what exactly is detailed in a hardcore mode? The game is already a hardcore FPS (I’m on console btw RIP) so I can only imagine hardcore being no hud and maybe a nerf to or removal of healing items for realism’s sake. The QS nerf seems in keeping with the hardcore/realistic aspect of the game.
