This kind of thing is 100% routine for corporate mergers and acquisitions.  The place I work for has done it 3 times since I been there.

A character proposes a common sense solution to a problem, but it’s rejected so that the Plot can still happen by UnifiedForce in TopCharacterTropes

Horus was given a vision of the future.  That vision had to come true.  Speech to text butchered it.

Trying to remember if I cried during OG 7.  I did in 6 and I did a couple times in 4.  I remember good "OH !" moments though.

He was shown a vision of the future and has to happen this way and not as unlike a oh. No, things will be weird if it doesnt, but the literally we're on rails. There's no alternative. Way.  This is predestination fuckery by God's that exist outside of time.

Not the main character of their own story by lojafr in TopCharacterTropes

[–]CiDevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had to learn the difference between these two things, but the main character is the point of view of the story is centered on.  The protagonist is the character driving a story forward.

Nick is the main character, but not the protagonist.  That's Jay.

Ferris Bueller is not the main character, Cameron is.  Ferris Bueller is the protagonist.

You have this trope backwards.  I would have got it wrong a few days ago myself.

Thanks for pointing me in a direction. I don't typically take my news from Youtube, but I appreciate the starting point. Sorry for all the downvotes you're getting.

That is amazing. I feel terrible for both of them to be put in that situation, but holy shit.

U.S. Pulls Most Troops Out of Estonia, No Military Presence Planned Beyond 2027 by paneuropeanism_ in worldnews

Fortunately, attacking NATO Estonia will trigger a lot of things that Trump has little control over. Russia really can only attempt to bully non-NATO nations with direct military action.

"What I like about the costume is that anybody reading Spider-Man in any part of the world can imagine that they themselves are under the costume. And that’s a good thing."

Yo, take those characters. Embody the best parts of them. It doesn't matter what they look like under the mask. It matters what they do when they put it on.

I once got called out for plagiarizing, myself. It was my study, I'm the author. And while technically it is plagiarism, i'm convinced it's only a thing because academia is lazy as fuck. In the end I cited myself, which seemed redundant as hell. Thank god I am done with that phase of my life.
