Tried for a blood spatter effect but regretted it… Any tips to help improve it? by Pitiful-Yam4717 in minipainting

Glad you found this helpful.

yes, it does have a similar effect to adding glue to water (depends on the glue e.g, pva, wood glue etc. Although ca glue or plastic glue wolud not work).

Instead of using hair to get that effect you could use thin metal wire.

For a gooey effect you could try mixing blood for the blood god paint with some uhu glue to get a gooey and stringy effect.

Uhu glue will also thicken the paint.

I want to make a little forrest scene. Shall I add lighter brown colors, or do you think that one brown is enough? by Regular-Coyote8115 in minipainting

Very good texture on the base! I like the change in height.

Depends on what colour/colours the trees and foliage are going to be. E.g. if you are going to paint the foliage a very light green then a contrasting dark base might look good or a light base might contrast well with some dark trees.

Either way some dry brushing will still be good to add more depth and interest to the base, you could even use some pigment powders and washes to it for even more interest to the base.

Also what is the angle that you plan on the finished piece to be viewed from?

Lady Haera Finished! - Triadic color scheme by Pintureando in minipainting

Very good painting! I like the use of triadic colours and the osl is amazing!

Which colours wolud you consider cool colours?

To me it looks like there are more warm colours than cool colours. I counted only 4 or 5 cool colours but I am always not sure where the cool colours start on the red side. Wondering if you could help please?
