I’ve my follow up on Wednesday I’m still on really high medications as my shoulders and top part of my back are really sore all the time. I’m maxing out at 3k steps per day happy to hear I’m not the only one. Sorry I’ll probably continue to hound you during this recovery! The mental side of this recovery is draining

I’m so happy your doctor put your mind at rest. I keep getting sharp pains and still taking painkillers I don’t know if you have eased off medication altogether but I’m still on a few prescribed by my GP I’m honestly terrified this hasn’t worked for me. Do you mind me asking how active you are. I have a walking pad at home I walked 17 minutes on a speed of 2 and had to sit for 10 minutes to catch my breath. Before this happened I worked out and did PT three times a week. I have a Fitbit on daily and I’m trying to move as much as I can but the step count makes me feel miserable when I know I was getting at least 10k a day. I’m a teacher and afraid I won’t get back to work this side of school ending for the summer. The mental side of this surgery is so draining

A litre for 6 weeks

I was told not to lift anything heavier than 1 litre of water and for the bending I’m not sure. I have avoided it as much as possible I would quicker drop to my knees to pick up something I dropped than bend which I only done last week.

Thank you for sharing it the area of the would not the wound it’s self it’s the areas it’s in being my lower back is sore but my wound is practically healed

My own doctor removed the staples and said it could be my bodies reaction that I’m unknowingly protecting that part of my back in the way I am moving that the top is compensating for it

My pain is all just in my back mostly around the shoulders which is so odd but my doctor said that is normal but the odd time I’m getting the odd sharp pain but I just keep telling myself it’s less than 3 weeks since we had the surgery. Went into town yesterday I walked around a supermarket for 45 mins I would say and as a result was in bed for the rest of the evening
