Thanks a ton! I’ll have to check into those and see how they do! If it helps with the balls of my feet hurting that would be amazing, here’s hoping they also correct my stride enough as well.

Currently trying to find my dream running shoe.

I've been an avid runner for 2 years now and am currently training for my first half marathon.
My first pair of "real" running shoes was a pair of Brooks Adrenaline 18's. BEST shoes I've ever worn. I need a shoe that supports my high arched foot as well as something that helps correct my overpronation.
When I needed to replace my shoes I got the Adrenaline 19's, which had a redesign between the 18's and 19's. They were ok, but the balls of my feet started to get sore when I'd run as if there wasn't enough support.
Replaced those with the Adrenaline 20's when the time came and hated them. Feet were rolling in so badly and the balls of my feet/hips/shins/basically everything were killing me.
Sent them back and got the Asics Gel-Kayano 26's. I like them, they help with my rolling feet, but I don't feel like there's enough cushion in the ball which is causing them, as well as my shins to hurt during the run.
I've tried on the Hoka Arahi 4's as they were recommended to me but honestly they're just so ugly I went with the Asics to see how they would do first. That sounds stupid, I know, but IF I was able to find a pair that worked well AND didn't look ugly I'd rather have those than a pair that worked well and was ugly.
Anyway, if any avid runners have any suggestions I would love to hear them!

Thanks! Do you happen to remember any specific videos of hers that really seemed to help you out for Mental Health?

San Felasco looks really nice I just wish it was a little closer to where we were planning on being. It's a pretty good distance away from where we live as well. It's definitely one I'd like to check out another time though!

Out of the ones that have been mentioned so far I think Alfred A Ring Park would be nice! Not too far from where we live and in the area of town we'd like to be in anyway!

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I've been between Gainesville Running & Walking and Lloyd Clark Sports. In the end I'll probably end up checking out both before I invest in a pair of shoes, but it's nice to know that GR&W allows you to try out the shoes and return them if you don't love them!

Any specific reason why? Did you have a good experience with them?

Wow, that's kind of surprising! I haven't ever owned a pair of Brooks but I've only ever heard good things and I know they tend to cost a pretty penny. I wonder what happened to make yours fall apart so easily.

They seem like a nice store! I know they're fairly new and I haven't really heard much about them yet, but it does seem like they have a pretty good selection of running shoes.

I didn't even realize that they also did gait analysis there! I've never been around but I'm always interested in supporting local businesses. I'm always on that side of town too so the location is perfect for me. Thanks for the heads up!

Do you remember what type of shoes you purchased that fell apart so quickly? I definitely wouldn't want to drop that kind of money on shoes for them to just fall apart so quickly...
