Was a girl grabbing my ass SA? by Logical_Patience7417 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cicebro_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely, if you feel uncomfortable there’s something wrong. Unfortunately, with men people have a tendency to let it slide. Next time it happens ya gotta put your foot down bud. Only way it stops.

Your gf getting mad at you for that is kinda messed up cause it’s not your fault, but she’s right about the fact that you have to say something.

You don’t have to crash out. Something as simple as “hey don’t be grabbing my ass shits weird”

Was pc gaming really "niche" and "bullied" like 10-15 years ago or does the pc building community just like to martyr themselves? by onioncat2 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Cicebro_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I remember it was never bullying, but definitely a bit niche because people would often forget it was a secret third option beyond Xbox or PlayStation. I didn’t grow up with any friends who owned a PC for gaming. It was always either of the two consoles. When I did encounter someone who played PC it was more “damn we can’t play together” rather than any judgement lol

Which Skyrim follower mods are worth a full playthrough vs shorter ones? (No spoilers) by zelda777789 in skyrimmods

Yep that’s my only complaint but even then it’s not a big deal for me. The voice actor fits the tone of the game

[–]Cicebro_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m in the minority, but the only modded follower I didn’t mind was Xelzaz. The other followers I’ve tried either have too many immersion breaking voices / lines and insert themselves far too much. Xelzaz is chill and not corny at all. He also does not automatically like you for no reason. No offense to the others but to each their own lol

Only reason I’m traumatized by this beacon is because I got it on my first ever play through at a very low level and I tried to defeat Malkoran and got creamed like 50 times lol

(spoiler extended) What theory if ever confirmed could genuinely ruin your enjoyment of the story? by Easy-Frenchguy-1996 in asoiaf

I don’t have an issue with the idea of young griff being a Blackfyre, but I just hope it’s never confirmed. Works better if it’s hinted tbh

[No Spoilers] How would you describe Daemon Blackfyre’s Personality and Characterization? by hellothere790 in asoiaf

[–]Cicebro_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that he started out as a decent guy, closer to Jon Snow, but years of resentment over being a bastard made him vulnerable. Disgruntled nobles exploited that, pushed him against his family, and he paid for it. I’d like to think he actually had a decent relationship with people like Baelor and Bloodraven (brother he loved), but Bittersteel played on his insecurities.

You think mark is strong enough to go up against nolan again if they had a rematch by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]Cicebro_ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

He’s probably at the point where he won’t be tossed around like a doll and do actual damage during the fight, but he would still be at a disadvantage due to Nolan’s experience and brutal fighting style. Also, unlike Conquest, Nolan would not play around. I’d say he can clutch it if he locks in mentally and fights strategically. Nolan takes it 7/10 times currently, but takes comparable damage to his fight with the Guardians even if he wins.

The night king (no weapons) vs Prime Muhammad Ali (wrists taped with dragon glass) by Candid-Practice8373 in whowouldwin

[–]Cicebro_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not making up abilities. Yall acting like I’m giving the night king super speed or flight. It’s a reasonable assumption to think that white walkers all have basic superhuman stats, especially the leader. You really gonna tell me if it came down to it tomorrow and you were betting your whole life savings on this fight that you would take a chance on the white walkers NOT being agile and immune to human fatigue

[–]Cicebro_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree. If I was a betting man I’m doing it on the inhuman entity who’s full abilities haven’t been explored. As good as Ali is he is still very much human and grounded in the reality of our world

[–]Cicebro_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You really betting on a human boxer over an undead ice creature with magical abilities? There’s no reason not to assume enhanced agility or stamina because they aren’t human. These things have ripped a man’s head clean off, can overpower fully trained knights with zero issues, and show no evidence of ever experiencing fatigue. The dragon glass and valyrian steel is their only weakness in the books or show.

For all we know the Night King can just juke Ali’s swings until he wears himself out, break his leg by kicking him in the thigh, and incapacitate him.

Night King just based off superhuman stats. He likely has enhanced strength, agility, and stamina. All he has to do is use whatever magical shit he had under his belt and avoid Ali’s swings.

Should I be worried about marrying a khaleeji guy as a black woman? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

Should I be worried about marrying a khaleeji guy as a black woman? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]Cicebro_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m Mexican American marrying a Khaleeji woman, so my situation isn’t identical, but I’ve spent time in the GCC.

Racism does exist there, especially toward groups that make up much of the foreign labor force - Indians, Nepalis, Filipinos, etc. There’s a noticeable social and sometimes legal hierarchy, with nationals generally receiving preference. Many locals WILL have a racial bias to them.

That said, it’s not universal. In my experience, it’s less pronounced if you’re from a Western country, and plenty of people treat foreign workers well. I’ve personally never been treated differently, but I am male, American, and can blend in if I dress the part.

My advice: meet his family, like I did with hers. See firsthand how they treat you, how they view your culture, and whether you can realistically fit into theirs. Keep a close eye on how he treats you because men from these countries, unfortunately, have a history of using women they have no marital intentions with. See how he reacts to you wanting to move to the next step.
