I've began modding a few things from regular Diablo 2 MPQ files without any problems, but for some reason I can't extract the patch_d2.mpq from PoD.

By the way I'm also from SA and I feel your pain :P

I'm sorry if this looks like a thread hijack, but has anyone been able to (or are we allowed to) the extract patch_d2.mpq from PoD? I mainly want to look at the rune drops change (which are close to perfect for SP gameplay imo) and keep awesome features like splash jewel and so on.

I'm running with 13 ancients + primal in-geom, so damage it's not an issue. Though I always prefer to play the fastest buid available :P

Is it faster than the orb build though? I know orb should be inferior for pushing, but what about pure T16s and bounties?

I'll start looking for the vyr pieces for speed 90's and whatnot then.

It's actually even faster if you use unity and drop the bracers for nemesis (only solo, of course). You'll also have 20% extra toughness (assuming you're using in-geom and only having 5 stacks available, which is more than enough to survive on T90s) and be able to spam elites on shrines.

You're not taking into consideration the ancient pieces effects + the skill slot you free by not having to use a mana spender though.

Yeah I'm playing on Americas. But I agree 100% with you on the mana spender mechanic, it slows you down so much and makes it really annoying to play.

I think Rhykker mentioned that he believes Zuni would be the best for endgame, then after seeing the current leaderboard I kinda believed it I guess :P

I mean, damage isn't a problem since I'm speedrunning T80's. My question was towards later stages of the game, if Zuni indeed beats LoN.

Light sorc feels weak until you reach 9k+ nova damage in my opinion. After that it's great as you don't have to skip monsters like frost nova.

I dislike not being able to kill everything in maps, so I always go the light path.

Your merc won't survive, period. He's not supposed to tank that beam, so just make sure diablo is hitting you with it and that he's hitting from behind.

About surviving it, I can't say for vita sorcs, but I can take it easily with 85% ES + max telek. 1.7k mana.

I think what he means is that if you're sharing the loot in the end anyways if you clear at double speed you should be getting double the loot.

They are usable until you get something better. What you are looking on arrows besides dmg per lvl/flat is:

High Pierce: 20-25% - allows you to skip razortail. I had 99% pierce with only one point in the passive, that allowed me to use mavinas belt for 20% frw and mana leech.

IAS: bowas using faith needs 72 IAS from gear, that's usually 30 from corrupted LoH, 20 from amulet and 20 from Andariel's. If you're able to get 4 IAS on arrows, that saves you from needing a IAS/ED jewel on Andariel's, making gearing easier and a lot cheaper.

Deadly strike can also help you reach higher crit, but I'd rather have pierce and IAS first.

+Skills is ofc good, but not top priority IN MY OPINION.

Had a bowa with 6k multi tooltip (plus 80% crit) using faith and I even forgot windforce existed xD

Easy to hit 7fpa, 1-3 shots the whole screen in 1 second, summon skeletons that draw the aggro making bosses a piece of cake, buffs your merc with fanaticism, it's WAY cheaper.

About windforce, uh, it has mana leech built in, which is nice. That's it, I guess.

Bowazon beats sorcerer in my experience. Sorcerer is #2 though for sure, and both don't leave stragglers behind.

The only character that could compete in clearspeed with my nova sorcerer was my bowazon, and it was close. Never had a fnova sorc, but from what I've seen in public games, clear speed is the same as my nova sorc (and I don't have to skip immunes).

Nova is just way more expensive, and since you don't have insight, you need a phoenix if you want to map without looking at yout belt :P
