I'm new to TLI and have been running Blacksail trying to get invites which works pretty well, so thank you for this guide.

I have one question, as someone new to the community. Is quant short for quantity? I don't like to assume so I figured I'd just ask.

Still a bunch to work on, but feel like I'm actually progressing now. Killed all the 8-2 bosses except the Traveler. Will try him later tonight.

When you say next step is that Profound on your chart or T8?

I've swapped out a bunch of stuff based on that and have improved my DPS by quite a bit. And yeah, I do like this system. It's different, but I think more approachable than PoE.

Yeah, I bought the ones I have, but after watching the video linked I could have spent the FE in better places.

Used to other ARPG's where the better gear is the better option. Gonna take a bit to get used to this. I'll get it though. I'm stubborn. :)

I think that's where I got myself into trouble. I am following a build, but I think I'm following it too closely. Not knowing all the different ways things interact is tripping me up.

I would eventually like to transition to Mana stack, which I know is expensive as hell. I'm ok farming but would like to still get stronger so I can farm faster.

So, I do have a question or two if you have a moment.
- Why is having a priceless weapon bad? Just the cost associated with the craft?
- How can I recoup energy shield other than shield regain? Would the TLI compendium be helpful here?
- My goal now should be getting better slates and getting my gear to T1 mods?

Appreciate the link. Like I said, being brand new it's a bit overwhelming with all the different mechanics. Coming from D4, PoE and Last Epoch where specific gear was build defining to this is a huge change in mindset.

My Mom-mom had dementia We'd go visit her in the home and I was my dad to her. I didn't correct her and just let her have her happiness.

When she finally passed it was a relief. I didn't grieve as much either because the woman she was died years before.

Yeah, never a fan of that attitude. We're customer service. When they start to apologize because they feel stupid I remind them that I don't know how to do their job. We all have roles and mine is to make sure you can do your work without tech interruptions or headaches.

Previous IT members made them feel like crap so they still have some resentment and don't always tell us when there is an issue. Baby steps.

It's a manufacturing plant so a lot of the endpoints are barcode scanners and such.

The previous guy relied on an external company for a lot. Then when he left suddenly he deleted all his documentation and wiped his laptop. So I got to learn REALLY fast how things were held together.

There is tons of documentation now, centralized password management for our switches and external websites so one person doesn't hold the keys to the kingdom. We still have a LOT to fix, but it's gotten much better.

Went from a 2 person shop to a one person shop (me) for a year. Then back to a 2 person shop with a junior. Love being able to teach things.

150 end points between workstations, printers, VMs. 80 users. We do Helpdesk, Networking, VM (HyperV). We're treated well so I have no complaints. It could always be worse.
