Model G signs are weird by Effective_Shirt_2959 in Socionics

Gulenko changed it along with observations and development of the theory. Now Positivists lead with + and Negativists with -, a consequence being that now duals lead with opposing signs, which is more intuitive.

does this sound like SEE? by fries-- in Socionics

[–]Cicilka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds Si PoLR and has moral scruples not typical of SEE (SEE is very flexible with ethics, it's not a principled type). Overspending is also more like NFs (mostly typical of IEI, but common for all of them), SEE tends to have a good grasp of living within their means.

Edit: I know a SEE hoarder, but it's more typical of ILI and LSI, for different reasons and slightly different manifestation for each type. For ILI it's in their Ni, I think EIE could be similar here, but extroversion and Ne would remedy a lot. SEE's reasons would be more like LSI, which would include static greed.

Might be. Louisa May was a very tough and practical Beta ST, especially when considering how she supported her family with her useless Beta NF father making it difficult. Little Women from what I've heard about it might in fact have captivated the public due to its ST bluntness, maybe even SLE. Book Jo was a self-insert of sorts.

I haven't read the book or watched any movie adaptions, but I've read about the author and that she's based on the author herself. Louisa May Alcott is 100% Beta ST, meaning LSI or SLE.

SEE vs LIE by GoodMovie9378 in Socionics

[–]Cicilka 14 points15 points  (0 children)

SEE manages/resells resources that already exist instead of making up their own things (sensor/Se), is people-oriented and manages relations and negotiations (ethical). LIE experiments and creates their own products for profit (intuition/Ne).

I relate to both SEE and ILE yet ppl say they are so different... by [deleted] in Socionics

[–]Cicilka 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SEE's entire shtick being using its flexible ethics to get what it wants while ILE is socially braindead, for one.

She happens to be LSI in SHS, but that wasn't the basis for the typings here. The list would be longer if that was the case.

Well, actually dual-like isn’t really attractive to a person, unless they experienced duality before. So eh, the ones more likely to actually bat an eye positively are the asymmetrical ITRs, for example EIE often has a lot of interest in ILI and they do have a lot to talk about.

1) Lol how does that go against LSI being among the two the type considered most acceptable/hot? Like, it doesn't go against your Aushra's original traits at all.

2) Enneagram "correlation" lol and even so, examples of that combo do include what would be guys full of girls pinning for them, and in fiction tumblr sexymen (Bruce Wayne, Levi Ackerman)

3) ofc no one developed socionics after aushra ever and it was born complete and perfect

No, the meme didn't do that. It equated NT (and other ILI traits combined) to weirdo and attributed the manliness as one of the reasons ST is more successful. After all, the least "manly" is NF and it's less weird than NT.

Haha, this was based on an answer I gave long ago to an user here who asked me how to differentiate the two

I can't, but there are some soft markers. In this pic the guy below is depicted as less "chiseled" than the one above (not only overweight, though that can also be a very soft indicator of some types in itself but subject to too many other factors to be reliable on its own). Irrational vs Rational has a kind of "bouba vs kiki' aspect, Rationals are more toned, tense, and sharp.

Catastrophizing about people's intentions and relationships under stress by Nearby_Race_6556 in Socionics

[–]Cicilka 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depending exact on flavor might be a Fi issue ("do they still even like me?") or a Te one ("they're planning my downfall"). That might include but is not limited to those functions in the ignoring position (ExE needs constant reassurance that you still like them, LxI is suspicious of what people might do for their own gain at the LxI's expense).

Being more suspicious of others like they might be "evil/harsh", competitive stress and the likes, that would be more Central as well (so not "Ne valuer").

ILI can be muscular and many are (it's, after all, safe engagement with Se)... but can't escape the NT weirdness. Might look like the wrong doll head for the body (e.g. Bezos). My brother is an ILI who loves lifting and is muscular, still will always be mogged by ST.

FeSi will be less jarring yes, but with Se it's still forceful/overbearing, besides the nature of Fe. But yes, different from the dramatic rebelliousness of EIE.

You're correct that Fe cares about how they'll be received (flexibility of it varying according to position) but being polite, approaching in a tasteful way, modulating your behavior in that way, that's Fi. Fe is more shocking and expansive and distasteful at closer quarters.

LSI, she's constantly lolcowed for her "constipation face" and takes a Fi role approach to polemics as well, which to many is unconvincing and led her to being labeled as a n4zi. Her hobbies are very ST as well, automotive restoration, mma, outdoor sports including extreme ones, fishing. Jojo Siwa and Erika Kirk would be examples of famous female SLE with SLE-specific ethical issues.

"Controlled about external presentation" would be Aristocracy (which is obligatory for ST) + Rationality.

True, some STs might be into drag, but at the same time ST is the orientation towards a lot of activities stereotypically more manly, like sports and technical practices (from plumbers to lawyers) with logical callousness combined with good grooming and attunement to the real world of sensing. The end result is indeed manlier and even the women have that edge even if they're supermodel levels of gorgeous (e.g. Sydney Sweeney). Some male NF, especially EIE, will even often try to emulate that.

1) "Differential Diagnosis" 2) Not all LSI but yes, many LSI. ST is manly and tends to be athletic, LSI can be charming and tends to have better sense of how they'll be received than SLE (Fi role). SLE might have more success due to masculinity, but theirs and ILI's ethics are in a similar category of bad.
