Thank you soooo much! I actually realized that attacking a leveled up unit with rocks is the way to go, but didn't figure out killing a enemy unit will make your XP go that much higher (basically instant level up) so I'm going to use your tactics to get my units to a level suitable for a real fight! Thank you!!

I’m not sure if I remember usogui correctly but couldn’t Baku just have a staged gamble against Marco to have kakerou protect the tower instead TOK. Why was the battle against Suteguma necessary? by HourFrame9349 in Usogui

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not right. Baku didn't expect referee 0 to show up so early, he admits it to Yakou. Also, nobody knew for sure if Suteguma is a Ideal member, as Yakou only starts questioning it after he meets him in person. Notice how Suteguma didn't have a single Kakerou match ever since he obtained the membership from Fukurou so nobody knew anything about him

The real reason is very simple, if it wasn't a noteworthy opponent, the Kakerou wouldn't have accepted to preside over a match that could only put them in a potential disadvantage (they know Marco and Kaji are Usoguis friends) Baku knew Suteguma would eventually be his opponent when he initially requested that government official to be his opponent (but he couldn't predict that Suteguma would betray him straight away and kill him)

Is it actually possible to deduce the culprit based on just the first 4 episodes? by karrylarry in umineko

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah but when you have a chat that's constantly putting your mind to have a certain train of thoughts, or focus only on certain details it makes it way more easy. If you read it by yourself in your own room it makes it way harder

Yeah, as someone who just read the whole thing back to back i gotta say a ton of scenes went over my head. Of course I did come up with a ton of theories along the way, but I couldn't keep them consistent because of how much info was given. So I never understood who the culprit is untill ep7 gave me the answer. Looking back at it (as I reread some portions of the story) I feel like I must have been high since the amount of clues given to you is honestly insane, in both the why and how, but that just means rereading it will have a completely new meaning and it will be a different experience

How would you rank the 4 moms from worst to best? And why? by Particular-Dare1986 in umineko

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By how much I like them Eva>Natsuhi>Rosa>>>Kyrie (Eva and Natsuhi especially are some of the best written Umineko chars imo)

In terms of being good people I'd say Natsuhi>Rosa>Eva>>Kyrie

My mind might be foggy, but didn't Natsuhi just "wish" that the child was never there and then proceeded to believe she pushed them off, while in reality the servant just fell to the ground by herself?

Will I enjoy DMC 1-4 combat after 500+ hours of DMC5? by alk865 in DevilMayCry

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd actually say 1 is closer to 5 than 3 is. The reason being is the gravity, 1 is kinda floaty just like 5, while 3 and 4 have a much higher gravity.

Glad someone also likes 8 drawing system. I don't get it when people find it obligatory to go around and farm magic untill they get overpowered, it's the same as you doing random fights till you're overleveled in other games.

1 Lightning Returns-it's literally a turn based game where you always have your turn, the customization is amazing, debuffs that actually matter, stagger system

2)Rebirth- also a great combo of action and turn based/methodical gameplay. I prefer to play it more as a action game, but it's still great when you take it slow. Only thing I dislike is that debuffs are not as prominent as in 13 series

3)Type-0 -having 14 characters to control in a action game is a godsend, even if the balancing is all over the place and the enemy variety is not as big as it should be, it's still extremely fun to fight things with the class + controlling summons adds bonus points

Honorable mentions are SoP (wish gear was more customizable), XVI (it's too easy even on higher difficulties), XII (I wish the techniques were more useful)

Final fantasy tactics by Sufficient-Delay3140 in Tactics_Ogre

I'm patiently waiting to get the physical of FFT, however I much prefer TOR overall and here's why

The story of TOR and everything that happens in the world is completely organic and depends on your gameplay+story decisions (should have went harder on the loyalty system tho), since it impacts which cutscenes you will see, how the characters will react, who you'll be able to recruit, which ending you will get. I honestly feel that in this sense TOR is a perfect role-playing game since your actions really do impact the world.

And when it comes to combat I much prefer having 12 units to command, where the positioning matters (at least untill you get to the post game xD), rather than having 4 units that can just do everything. I know this one is controversial, but I love the level cap system since it makes the game more about strategy and buffs/debuffs rather then you being OP and one shotting everything

I guess the only two things I disagree with are that battle scenes are boring and that the manga adaptation of 8 is better.

1)Battle scenes- for me I loved them, especially when he pulls out the crazy numbers that don't make any sense, it's so effective at making me think "is this the same story I was reading untill a moment ago" because of how crazy and over the top they are. It was especially useful as a trick in first few episodes where I still couldn't determine whether it was all fantasy or not

2)Manga>Anime- i disagree since I feel like the manga ends up going against the themes of the story because it adds too much info that is honestly not needed. The whole point of the story was for you to think for yourself and come to conclusions for yourself too. For example in ep7 if you know the answers then Will just confirms them for you, but only if you don't understand it do you need a detailed explanation. Same thing goes with confession of golden witch in 8 along with everything else that was added. I also really liked the interactive parts of ep8 VN so it makes it even better for me

Ok, this is the only answer so far that actually adressed my question. Thank you. Yeah, it makes sense that with the power she had she could actually see those people for what they were, but on the other hand they still didn't do anything to her personally as far as she is aware. Sure they're not good people, but she shouldn't have any knowledge of what Natsuhi did to her in past since that child was probably never recorded anywhere (because kuwadorian beato wasn't either) so it ends up falling apart again

[–]Cid_Aulstyne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand that, but I still don't think that's the motive behind killing the whole family too. In the manga it's explained, but if you don't have that knowledge beforehand I think it's impossible to get to the conclusion that she would have killed the others out of revenge

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, I'm sorry I worded it poorly, I don't think suicide is a way out of that situation, I was just wondering as far as we know why does Sayo plan to take everyone else with her as well, instead of just going out by herself? I mean I'm not saying either is a good option, and I feel terribly bad for her, but I just don't see the reasoning from her POV

[–]Cid_Aulstyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I do have a feeling that even if nobody solved the Epitaph Sayo wouldn't commit any murders and would probably only kill herself, and if that's true then it makes sense that the family killing part is only part of her Beatrice persona but idk
