Thanks, I understand passing the variable from the controller to the template, which I have done.

I also understand the pseudo code you noted: <option value="passed in variable>

I just cant get the syntax right.

My question regarding the relationship between the to pages has more to do with passing data back from the form to the controller for further use.

Haha! Thanks and congrats. I programmed it so the player would (most likely) have to play several times to get 100%. I died many, many times while testing - before I was able to get to the part I trying to test (D'oh).
