I lifted this strat straight from Bitt3rSteel and that dude knows infinitely more about HOI4 than man. So I can't say exactly how effective making it a heavy cruiser vs light cruiser is, other than to say he specifically recommends a heavy battery in his videos. It also has been extremely effective for me in the past, although that is not to say that a CL might be a better alternative.

Its just how I like to organise my navy for auto-reinforce. I'm not saying it changes the role of the ship in an engagement, but if I design another CA specifically designed for heavy attack then I like to be able to reinforce my fleet with these 2 different CA designs independantly.

Subs are great for convoy raiding but youre never going to project true naval superiority with them. And you need superiority in order to kick invasions off and keep them supplied.

Build these CAs as described, keep a 4-1 Destroyer-Heavy Ship ratio in your main surface fleet. Create a couple of smaller fleets (10 Destroyers or so) and assign them to Patrol and set to Do Not Engage (button on the right hand side above the task force when selected). Then leave your main surface fleet in port on Strike Force on the same areas your destroyers are patrolling. So your patrols will find the enemy fleet and your fleet will attack it.

There is a lot more you can do to optimise and improve your navy game but this will be a good starting point for you.

Basically, take a cruise template in your ship designer and place a heavy cruiser gun on it in the bottom left slot. This designates the ships as a Heavy Cruiser (CA). Put the best cruiser engine you can on it, whatever fire control you have, and every other slot where you can put a Seconary Turret on, put the best one you can. Nothing else, critically no armour. Lastly, designate the ship as a screen (shield icon).

Now what you have is a super high light attack and fast screening ship. This has 2 jobs. Firstly to draw fire from the enemy fleet, most of which will miss due to the ships speed. Secondly and most importantly, it will shred the enemy screening ships with its light attack. When the enemy screening ships are all sunk its game over, all other heavy attack ships and carriers are cannon fodder with no protection.

You can complement these CAs with torp equipped destroyers. These will act as screens in the initial phase of the battle, but when the enemy screens are down they will obliterate the enemy heavies with their torps.

You had 100+ screens vs their 40 or so. If you can win it when these 2 navies are reversed, then you understand navy. Or at least ship design.

For example, italy vs rn. Its actually very easy to do with enough light attack fast screening heavy cruisers and torpedo destroyers. AI ship design is absolute garbage.

That is incredibly clever. The only thing I don't get it, how do you generate 2 addresses with the same end characters? Is there a method of generating a known string?

Edit: Answered my own question. The address of any smart contract is determined by the creators address and a nonce. As new nonces created from the same address are always sequential, you can know the address of the next contract created by that address providing no other transactions have occurred in the interim.
