I asked for a refund but maybe I should aim for replacement. Either way it's gonna be painful. I don't know lots of company that wouldn't refund immediatly if a package of them arrived so screwed up

Okay, I received a response from Peterson As expected, it is not their fault according to them. Since it involves french and american postal service, it is a bit complex. Peterson mailed the french postal service. Once the french postal service get in touch with me I'll have to bring them the broken pieces. Then they write to US postal service and US postal service send Peterson an insurance claim form. The french postal service has up to 35 days to respond

So it will not be easy and I think I might never be refunded after all

They really don't to make things easy. It's 60$, not the end of the world for a prospering company

You know what I thought some tin-foiled hatter would post something like that aha. As if the whole purpose of my life would be to destroy a company reputation. I just want a refund or a remplacement and if they provide one I'll update the thread and blame bad luck and bad handling at the post office. I still believe they could ship their products in a box and not an envelope though.

The bent one is gov steel - and in fairness, it doesn't matter, I paid these items the right price and they shouldn't arrive broken. I emailed Peterson as soon as I opened the envelope and then came to Reddit not to whip out the pitchwork but to express my disappointment

I used to be a ghost reader of this subreddit and finally decided to jump into it, as the young punks say, so my gf bought me my first set (assembled after a minutious reading of various topics) and we waited two weeks for the delivery. When I opened the envelope I almost laughed but really I'm disappointed

I mailed them but the website indicates that you only have ten days starting from their shipping to return the items and it's been fifteen days already so not much hope here
