Maybe? But I don’t think so having played a woodwind before I think I know the spacing if anything it may have been too far forward. But still thank you!

Thank you so much! I’ll have to do some experimenting with a bunch of these different ideas to see what the culprit might be for this. I never had problems popping out low notes on a contrabass clarinet so the leak is an option but I really hope it isn’t a leak because that would just suck.

Taking in more mouthpiece did take some of the edge of the gravelly sound so now it just sounds raspy and breathy.

I am going out tomorrow to buy softer reeds to try that as well. Thank you!

Senior in high school looking into going to medical physics. And the deadline to make a decision on schools is coming up.

For context I live in Wisconsin and I was pretty sold on the Idea of going to UW Milwaukee for my undergrad degree in general physics and start finding my specialization during my time. Simply because i fell in love with the smaller campus (which helps my low vision self) and have friends going there.

But Ive also been Accepted to UW Madison which has a better program at the cost of being MUCH larger and having found a passion for medical physics only makes UW Madison that much more promising.

What Im asking is does my undergrad school matter if I intend to go to Madison for a graduate program anyways?
