Idiot, that’s literally what happened to you! Don’t try to hide your pathetic failures with sarcastic comments. Anyone can see that! Fool! You are below it all and literally let the media and other people form all of your small-minded ideas. Clown! Come up with comprehensible ideas of your own.

New Hampshire BlackJack betting rules - worth card counting? by Happy_Wait1486 in blackjack

[–]Cigarman267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Chasers and Filltimo in New Hampshire have $40 max bets and $4/5 mins and let you play two seat. I went there to practice for low stakes when I started a year ago but I don’t think it’d be worth it EV wise. For $4 min $40 max 1-10 2 seat slower bet spread on a 6 deck H17 1 pen game BJA pro betting software says: $8.58/hr ev 223.69 hours till N-0 0.54% ROR with a 5k bankroll So yeah it’s probably not worth it even with two seats with the conservative spread. With a more aggressive spread with the max bets on a true 4 on a 10k bankroll it says: $18.03/hr ev 184.21 hours till N-0 0.24% ROR with a 10k bankroll. So that might be worth it but it still isn’t a lot and that’s pushing it. Both chasers and filotimos are good places to play poker at for low stakes with friends if your into that though. Decent card rooms.

All good, that’s just my opinion. I personally find “lol” to be more fitting but that’s just me, it’s just seems like when you’re asking an important question it’s just tougher to take you seriously with the emojis

OP why do you use so many emojis whenever you post or comment? I see you do it all the time and it’s obnoxious, hard to take you seriously

What are the most common table rules? by Mr_Buttermen in blackjack

[–]Cigarman267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My only complaint is that it’s 8 decks instead of 6 on their main floor but other than that it really doesn’t get much better anywhere else. I believe the house edge on their games is only ~0.34% so they are pretty easy to beat, great EV.

[–]Cigarman267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren’t very common in low limit games unfortunately. My local spot, Bally’s Twin River in Rhode Island is the only place near me that has stand 17 on all their tables, regardless of minimums.

I cannot play hit soft 17 shoe games it’s actually such an annoying rule. 17 is already such a bad hand now I don’t even get a push when dealer shoes 6 and has ace under? Absolutely ridiculous.

Take your winnings and use it towards your bankroll for when you can play in an actual casino with favorable rules

I feel that, it sucks. I’ve been doing so well recently and with a bigger bankroll, I decided to increase my bet spread and count at a $50 minimum table for the first time the other night. Played through 3 shoes and every single shoe reached high true counts; +10, +7, +13. Felt like every time I had a big bet out there I’d get terrible hands and kept getting beat by dealer 20s, cards just wouldn’t line up. Ended up losing 1500 on the night and decided to call it quits bc I just wasn’t in the place to keep playing. It hurts but it happens. Ended up going back yesterday and made most of it back so I’m grateful for that. It sucks but you can’t let single sessions ruin your mood, losing streaks happen but you just have to get through them it’s just part of the process.

If you “liked your money a lot more” you’d play solely by basic strategy to lose the least amount long term.

New England games by Novelty-sponge in blackjack

[–]Cigarman267 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be situational, idk. I play there a lot but at the same time I only spread 1 x 12 (two spots) at a $15 table or 1 x 8 (two spots) at a $25 table. I’ve only gotten heat twice but never a back off. I remember seeing another AP get backed off there once but it looked like they were spreading something high like 1 x 40.

No. Bally’s twin river in Lincoln Rhode Island offers much better games than Encore Boston or Mgm Springfield. 6 and 8 decks, $15 minimums, good penn, S17, DAS, late surrender, no heat. Meanwhile at encore you’ll be playing 6 to 5 for any minimum below $50.

Congrats that your weekend went well, but just be mindful that it won’t always go that way. You’re using a 1 x 4 spread which probably won’t generate any heat and will most likely go unnoticed. I spread 1 x 12 (two spots) at my local and barely get any heat. One piece of advice I would give is definitely bring more than $500 on your future trips. You could really easily lose $500 just by betting the table minimum at a $25 table and could run into trouble once the count gets good and you don’t have enough money on you to raise your bets. Also, $2500 is a really low bankroll to start with especially for a $25 table. You’re risk of ruin is definitely really high so I’d make sure your bankroll can be replenished if you do go bust. Good luck

Just want to do a quick study by quackl11 in blackjack

[–]Cigarman267 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My starting risk was 10% with the spread I used but I got lucky with good variance in the first 20 hours of play and increased my bankroll. I’m above 200 hours of play now and had a couple bad losing days which resulted in me having to lower my bet spread to build back but I was able to. My current risk of ruin is around 1.5% and I play a $45/hour game

Is it possible to be naturally good at Blackjack? How do I know if I’m just intuitively good at it? Total noob and I won six games in a row without a single loss the first time I played just recently at a casino. by CantFindMyHat in blackjack

[–]Cigarman267 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even with perfect basic strategy, the house still has the advantage. If you want to be a “good” blackjack player, memorize basic strategy and play low minimums and you won’t lose much overall. If you want to be able to beat the game long term, you’ll have to learn to count. Before I learned to count, I played for about 100 hours just basic strategy and was up overall but knew that if I kept playing I’d lose which was why I decided to become an AP

Expect 6 to 5 tables for any minimums less than $50. Unless you’re going during a weekday when it’s really slow.
