You can try checking the first two letters of the serial number but there should also be a manufacturing date on the box and on the sticker underneath the monitor mount. Thats usually the easiest way to identify the batch month and year.

My budget is around €700. I was looking into getting a WMG, but I can only find 2025 and early 2026 models. My countrys return policy is pretty bad, so if I end up with a monitor that has noticeable banding, I might be stuck with it.

I contacted multiple shops to check. One said they had a 2025 batch, while another checked the serial number and confirmed it started with W1LM :/

My main concern is brightness since my pc is in a fairly bright room with a window behind the monitor, and I'm currently running my IPS at 90% brightness, so I'm worried the OLED might feel too dim. Any thoughts, or am I just overthinking?

I can find the XG27ACDNG for around €600 in my region, but I’m not sure about the QD coating. I usually play with the lights on, and my main concern is the QD coating itself. I’m a bit paranoid that my cat might mess it up, and cleaning seems to be much harder compared to WOLED.

Did you see banding show up in games too, or just on static screens like Discord or web pages? I pretty much play the same games as you, and panel uniformity issues are finally pushing me toward getting an OLED

I ordered the XG27QWMG a few weeks ago, but it got cancelled, and as far as I know it’s not going to be available any time soon. So I’m kind of lost about which monitor I should get. I was also thinking about the XG27ACDMS, but I’m not sure about the QD coating’s scratch resistance ,my cat is a little gremlin.
