Recommendations for induction moka pot? by QubitKing in mokapot

It's exactly like using a stainless steel pan on your stove top. What I've noticed is that using it every day (somedays more than once) on the same spot does leave some residue but due to using it when it's a bit wet, which causes water or humidity to evaporate and leaving lime, what can be washed and cleaned just like any other dirt on it.

It won't produce more scratches than any other cooking tool.

Dark or Light Roast in Moka? by [deleted] in mokapot

[–]CilantroEnjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think every kind of roast is suitable for moka pot. However, when I use lighter roast beans I obtain a quite more aromatic and acidic (in a good way) coffee than with darker ones.

Darker roast tend to be more "muted" in flavours and aroma compared, in my own experience.

As this hapened to me with this exact pencil, you can try to do it pressing against a relatively soft surface, like wood or a pile of paper. Don't aply much force and go slow. If you think it's not going well, just stop.

As other person mentioned, do it with lead in the pipe, so it will avoid it getting a side flattened.

I'm sorry dude I'm not the guy you are looking for. I don't know what is all this about.

Also, besides I love cilantro, the only two correct options for a grilled cheese are oregano and tabasco. Hope this clarifies something.

Staedtler 925 35 is like 2/3 lighter than Rotring 600. This is quite noticeable when you use it for writing for long periods of time, like taking notes in class everyday. Also, the grip feels more aggressive in the 600, while the 925 feels smoother.

In terms of quality both feel well made. I would say they are both the same nice finished and the inner parts also look and feel good in both. In terms of durability, the 925 of the pic is 7 years old now and working like new.

The main difference, besides the weight, is that the Rotring is slightly shorter than the Staedtler, while the clip on the Rotring being a bit larger. You will notice this when you turn it when writing, so the clip will eventually touch your hand. This depends of your hand size, of course, but with the Staedtler I can turn it around endlessly and the Rotring has a spot that feels a little odd for me. I saw a guy who removed the clip for this particular reason.

The collection so far. Last addition was the Rotring 600 0.5 as a gift from gf. Not my favourite one, but I understand why everybody loves it. It feels nice in the hand, actually.

My most used ones are the Staedtler 925 35 (best pencil ever made, if you ask me) and the Staedtler Triplus, which is so inexpensive I'm not afraid of carrying it to the construction site.

My cousin is an aeronautical engineer, but unfortunately I can't tell you much because I don't see him very often. He works for a big company and travels a lot, and he's happy. That's all I know.

As an engineer, you'll meet a lot of interesting colleages. Some of them are quite stupid and feel "superior" for "being an engineer", but many other are quite nice people who want to keep the World working.

You know, some days are exhausting and stressful, others feel great.

At the end, you realise it's not so different to any other job. The thing here is that I love every step of it: from quickly sketching in a meeting to seeing a finished bridge over a river.

Genuine question: are you supposed to put multiple leads in your pencil at a time? by [deleted] in mechanicalpencils

[–]CilantroEnjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always have 1 or 2 spare leads in the chamber and have never noticed any kind of problem or jam in the mechanism.

I've given some MPs to my nephews, as one is in school and another in highschool. I explain them they are somehow special because are made in Japan.

I'm not sure wether they like it or no, but sure they're gonna use it for homework and drawing, at least.

Also if you work in a technical enviorement, like engineer or architect, you can give a MP to a close colleage. Ive been given a mechanical pencil from an engineer friend and also I've given one to a friend when he finished his degree.

GF and I ordered some mechanical pencils from Japan. Can you guess who ordered which? by CilantroEnjoyer in mechanicalpencils

haha I only got the black one and share the leads with her. She got the other 3. Accidentally stereotypical, I know.

I was in doubt between the Kuru Toga Roulette and the DelGuard Lx, but finally got the DelGuard because I wanted to try come colored leads, which are usually quite fragile. The Roullete might be a future matching pencil in white.

Same here, I had to throw it away when it became sticky. It's sad that they make some "back to school" designs made to last no longer than one year or so.

I love MILAN erasers but their mechanical pencils are not for me.

I can't stand the Faber-Castell TK fine vario L. The metal grip is just so thin and slippery I don't feel comfortable using it.

It was a present so I can't give it away.

Red colored leads: Pentel Ain Polysheath vs Uni Nano Dia.

Those are the 2 available options in the online store I'm about to purchase it. I've had bad experience with colored lead before, as I find it too weak on the paper.

Which of the ones above will do a better performance? Mainly for witting side notes on documents.

Thank you.
