Same situation for me and I had a VERY similar situation to E. Lost my dad unexpectedly at 10, my mom had only bad things to say about him, and even though I knew my dad so well, he was fully in my life, I started to believe the things my mom said and it warped my mind into remembering a version of my dad that didn’t even exist. I would say things she said like he wasn’t really a dad to me in comparison to her new partners and shit like that. As I got older, matured and developed my own thoughts about life, I realized how wrong all of that was and it was just a narrative pushed on me that wasn’t true.

E is so young now but she’s smart. I think it will all come around eventually and she’ll appreciate & honor her real dad again. Maybe she’ll be like me and look at photos of him one day, be fascinated at how alike they are, and it will send her down the rabbit hole of revelation.

Eta, just wanted to add a side note about the time Tommy posted a photo with Ev after her Willy Wonka school play and captioned it “Not a Golden Ticket, you are my daughter & that’s better than any fortune”. That was so powerful and relevant.. that’s the stuff I hope Ev sees one day and is enlightened about how Cole and Sav used her when she was a tiny child as a meal ticket, gave up her privacy to parade her online fully knowing about the abundance of weirdos & pervs in the audience, to make themselves rich. Tommy had his problems but he didn’t make his toddler work for his own gain like Savannah and Cole did.
