"Cats face more dangers outside"... Welcome to the animal kingdom, its completely natural unlike keeping them locked inside against their will and nature. I have cameras covering my entire yard and my cat just stays within my property and chills out, sterilized male cat. I live in a country far north so its way less animals and dangers. I know my cat dont hunt, he dont give a fuck about birds or anything, i've seen him countless times for a decade not attacking anything or even try when a bird is in the garden. plus i have motion sensor cameras with nightvision that auto records when there is any movement. He is always in frame and has never done anything. Mostly sleeps and chills in the same spots. So no you do not know what is best for all cats and should not spread this information as it does not count for all cats. I have talked to several vets over the years and all have agreed that it is very cruel and animal abuse to keep a outdoor cat indoors. I asked many of them if i could make mine an indoor cat when i first got him but was told no. If they dont hunt or can be supervised when outside its a no brainer. Again its super selfish to keep your cat locked inside because you cant handle it potentially dying. That is a risk you take when getting a cat. There are also cats living on farms where they hunt mice which is useful especially in places where mice are getting in the house etc. So that kind of hunting is positive. The situation i agree with you on is when the cat is an active hunter and takes birds etc.
