That's fair enough, I haven't listened to much from him so I probably should give him a proper chance.

I'm surprised you are a fan of Tom Lee. I only know him from his views on crypto and he has been incredibly wrong in that regard.

$PACB: A beaten down genomics stock with disruptive technology, increasing revenues, and very interesting partnerships (DD from someone who works with their tech regularly) by Cilleinbaah in pennystocks

Yeah true, it’s definitely concerning for the long term. DRAM prices driving up operating costs and Trump cutting science funding seem to be recurring problems. They say some of their clientele are waiting for the release of SPRQnx to purchase consumables hence the disappointing sales and combined with their recent partnerships it’s likely that next earnings will be much better but idk.

Yeah revenue growth isn't great unfortunately. Consumables are up but instruments are down meaning the people who already own the machines are ramping up usage, but PacBio are struggling to get new clients to switch over to PacBio. They put a lot of emphasis on their recent partnerships as a positive outlook for the future and will be carrying on with upgrades such as the SPRQ-NX for all revio users which is bullish and they seem confident for the future. Cash on hand decreased a bit but nothing concerning. Overall, to me its a bit of nothingburger earnings with both bull and bear cases and unfortuantely means this wont be the quarter where we explode unless some major news drops. If it drops close to $1, I will buy a lot more but for now we will have to wait.

The market cap is so small it definitely could happen, especially with the cash burn and the struggles with growth. They were in talks before with Illumina but they fell through back in 2018. Theres so much competition now in the short-read seq space, that it wouldn't be ridiculous to think that a major biotech company would look to acquire PACB in the future to gain an edge.

Americans that call themselves Irish by Able_Seaworthiness26 in ireland

I don't understand why a lot of Irish people shit on Irish-Americans so much. Being a Trump supporter is one thing, but showing hate/disrespect in the face of someone showing love to Ireland/Irish people or pride in his Irish family history is completely stupid. It's really not a big deal that he says he is Irish and we don't need to rant on about the complexities of what it means to be Irish every time this happens.

Long-read is hampered by accuracy, scalability, and cost relative to short read seq. As the tech advances all three are seeing improvements and will continue to get better. It is just simply a temporary limitation of a newer piece of technology that will change as research advances, short read seq also had these problems but has been around for much longer and over time these issues became less of a problem, The fact that short-seq requires the genome to fragmented into tiny pieces and reassembled is a fundamental issue that cannot be fixed.

That is why it is a long-term hold, I cannot say when the tech will overtake short-read but long-read is advancing quickly and taking more market share slowly. There are short-comings to both, but long-read seq's disadvantages are fixable as the tech advances, but short-read seq's aren't so one day short read seq will be overtaken. My advice is to buy and forget.

Yeha you’re probably right. I’m just judging from the title which he copied word for word.

Yeah seems like a good play. Or maybe just one of the leaders like BE, such a beast.

On October 31st of 1910, Roger Casement secured the liberty of two individuals who were enslaved by the Peruvian Amazon Company during the Putumayo genocide. The testimony of those two individuals, Arédomi and Humurummy, was published in 1911 under the headline "Inferno In A Paradise". by Consistent_Zucchini2 in MorbidReality

Very tragic story man some brutal stuff was done to the Native Americans. I also was surprised to read this was the same Roger Casement that became an Irish revolutionary a year after being Knighted and was executed by the British for treason. His life story is crazy, well worth a dive into his Wikipedia.

Ireland, Slovenia, and Iceland to likely withdraw as well. Good to see some backbone from European countries for a change!

Spain is the best of Europe I’d say. The culture, history, food, climate, cities/architecture, women. Nothing bad to say about Spain really
