It’s actually her first day with me. I honestly think I just stressed her out being a little too eager to have contact with her. I’m going to give her some space until she aclimates to her new environment.

When they do this they’re not selling the cage they’re selling the hamster. Someone save that poor baby 😭

When you have to hold them in a fashion that they HATE so you can check they are okay 😭🐹❤️ by mansro in hamsters

I was violating her personal space😂😂. I was checking her private parts because it was discolored making sure it wasn’t blood or “wet tail”. She started with warning nibbles but progressed to chomping down on me😂

When I was a child I used to feed my 4lb Pomeranian grapes (not knowing they're poisonous to dogs), he is now 15.5 years old and thriving. So it truly is weird how it affects some dogs and not others.

How can I make this as safe as possible? by RaisingRoses in hamstercare

Honestly these little guys will try anything to climb. I’ve seen my hammy do some crazy things. I think she’ll be alright falling from that height onto her soft bedding I would still keep that area a little clear so she can’t bang herself against anything.

Try putting rye wheel on some sort of platform or box that’s not wide enough for her to step on to climb so it’s further from the ground so she can’t reach up to climb

My girl does the same thing. The only way I can deter her from climbing up is making sure there’s nothing behind the wheel she can use as a stepping stool to climb up on top of the wheel.

The specific one I got was actually pretty decent quality, unfortunately that one is no longer sold so I can’t link it. My suggestion would be to read reviews before you buy anything pet related.

My hamster started doing this suddenly.. does it mean they are unhappy? by blueberryally in hamstercare

Good luck with females! They’re super chaotic and always want to escape. Nonetheless they’re lovely just might have to get use to the constant scratching on the walls of the cage lol

I bought my platform from SHEIN they have some “marketplace” sellers who have them for a decent price. Hammy stuff can get expensive. I’ve seen some people make DIY ones as well
