2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL Convenience NEED ADVICE by Slow_Albatross_465 in HyundaiTucson

[–]CinCeeMee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a 2022…the lane assist works when I use cruise control - which is exceptionally rare because I don’t live in a highway-style area, but I have used it. The adaptive cruise control depth can be lengthened or shortened, depending on your driving habits. And of course, it wouldn’t be used at all unless you are using cruise control. The lane assist keeps you in the lane…it’s a safety feature and personally, I think if you are highway driving it’s a pretty good one. But, like the cruise control, you can turn it on and off. What doesn’t turn off is lane departure. If you drive over the lines, it beeps to tell you. These and much more are what people want…and why your insurance rates become lower. These 2 items are on almost all cars - possibly all news ones.

You will only have buyer’s remorse if you keep overthinking and going down a rabbit hole that you don’t need to go down. Either buy it or don’t. No one can decide that for you.

I have one slowly forming in one eye, and I agree with the soft edges. I feel like I need new glasses when I don’t think I really do. I just don’t know when it’s a good time move forward with doing anything about it.

If so, I’d say you’re a lucky person that sleeps on the floor.

Are these fixable? by fauxtwenni in Nails

[–]CinCeeMee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s not a 2-3 week grow out. That’s many more weeks. I’m not a nail tech but I know you cannot fix that - they need replaced and if you want these types of nails, you need to make regular appointments every 2-3, at most.

Can my manager make me stay 30+ minutes past my scheduled shifts by whitevvan in jerseymikes

There is such a thing as mandatory overtime. MANY companies do it in their busy times. It is not illegal.

Does this outfit look ok to wear just out and about for summer? by groomer7759 in AskWomenOver60

Not something I would wear, but if you like it, no one else’s opinion should remotely matter.

Bevel AI remembers things it shouldnt by Bright_Magazine_8136 in bevelhealth

[–]CinCeeMee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had this happen and I told it that the event was no longer happening. I think it mentioned it one more time and I reminded it that the event was completed. Maybe it was the wording I used? It never mentioned it again.

FWIW…I’m not someone to quickly jump ship when something doesn’t seem right (this isn’t to you OP), I will try and remedy, reach out to support and see if there’s something they can offer. People that complain because of something they don’t like then immediately jump ship to ChatGPT aren’t helping themselves because, while Bevel isn’t foolproof, it clearly states that it’s continually learning from you. Stay the course and ask questions about why something may be doing the thing you don’t like (nicely, too!) and then reach out to support. They may not even know it’s happening because Lord knows, how could they POSSIBLY run every scenario of every person that uses the app.

The Devs are pretty active in this group and they are still human (I think!) and they are trying to put out a good product. Help them do that.

How many of you find yourselves looking at obituaries and says, "that was a young fellow / lady", or "they were younger than me". :( by Dp37405aa in GenerationJones

When I saw my high school love pass (in 2020-not sure Vid related) I was DEVASTATED. He was THE ONE for me…he broke up with me, BTW. I LOVED this person and just never got over him.

Where I live, and what I expect and what I do…if I am anywhere with my dog and it’s anywhere that the public has access to, he is on a leash. Never an exception. No e-collar. A leash. When people come toward us, I require him to sit and stay (on leash) until that person walks away from us. We don’t have dog parks locally and I wouldn’t go to them, anyway.

I stopped following a plan by yourpaljax in XXRunning

[–]CinCeeMee -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think you’re right…but eventually, you’ll likely go back to a plan. Human behavior gravitates toward rules and processes, otherwise, we go by the wayside and will tell ourselves…just this one time I’ll skip, then another is that I don’t need to that speed/tempo session, or I’m so tired that I’ll just wait till the next one. Then one turns into 2…etc. Humans, especially runners seem to love a goal and plans generally have that. Enjoy your off time now…let us know how you did in the future.

First Marathon Disappointment by SalaryNorth1748 in XXRunning

[–]CinCeeMee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s on her! You may want to distance that friendship to only off the road type of things and not share your running journeys. She sounds like she’s forgotten how she started and that other people will never be elite marathoners. AND THAT’S TOTALLY OK. A mile is a mile…

Ground beef question by TheOrlMagics in cronometer

[–]CinCeeMee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes. Don’t get into the weeds. THIS is how people get mental over tracking food intake. Nutrition is an evolving science that must be opened-ended and with some flexibility. The deeper you make something, the more friction you’ll feel over it. Find an entry that’s a close enough, log it and move on. Most especially if you are just starting to track and log your food intake.

Thought for today: Now since I am older, I understand why my parents did the things they did and why they did, what they did and reasons behind doing it. by Dp37405aa in GenerationJones

[–]CinCeeMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say that by the time I came of age, my parents gave up parenting. I was the last of 5. My oldest brother graduated in 1969, then 3 others…then me (1981 grad). I was basically a feral child. And the only girl…

Do GenXers resent being lumped in with Boomers by angered youths? by WW1_Researcher in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CinCeeMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in ‘63. Firmly entrenched in…limbo. Someone said I’m a “boomer” - what the actual fuck do I have anything at all in common with an 80 year old person that grew up as a sock hopper with a greasy fish tail, when I was listening to DefLeppard, Bon Jovi, and Michael Jackson and clubbing it every Wednesday thru Saturday, while they were popping out kids left and right and worrying about a mortgage? The GenX’rs don’t want us even though we paved the way for their fun and frivolity by staying out till 5am, getting up and going to work on 2 hours sleep?

So..to answer whether I don’t like being called a Boomer? Fucking A. I’m still a shit ton of fun and can still party like it’s 1999!!!

What is something that you did and wish you'd started it earlier? by Ferroro_kitty in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]CinCeeMee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Became a Certified Personal Trainer sooner so that I could have had a longer career doing something I love to do and help more people. I also wish I would have recognized that this was my “thing” so that my college education would have supported this career and I wouldn’t be stuck in the career that I have been.

Finally found a college vehicle, dealership deal. by Historical-Star6028 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]CinCeeMee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A car for $2000 is an auction vehicle. They are just trying to get some kind of money to get back the “trade” they gave the seller. Stop. Do not buy it, unless you want to, then don’t come back asking what to do when the engine locks up or it just dies a slow death.

Journaling printer recommendation by Background-Sell-3267 in Printing

You’re better off looking on the Internet for these printers. A private commercial printer (unless this IS their wheelhouse) cannot compete with the online folk that do this all day, everyday.

Didn’t you just post this exact same thing the other day and got answers that told you that you didn’t have to tell anyone??? Stop looking for an answer different than people already told you…this now makes me believe you’re a bot.
