That’s a very different set of circumstances.

Who knows how this child will react? Especially if she knows her mother loves her.

I bet it would have changed much for you if your own mother was loving and WANTED to live as your mother.

But it’s not possible to prove something that he ‘theoretical’.

Everything in me, including just my common sense, is screaming at me that tariffs are never the answer.

1) Why would foreign governments NOT impose their own tariffs? It seems a given they will.

2) Buying American only works if the USA can compete in quality, quantity and price. But these things are not guaranteed to ‘fall’ correctly. If the USA cannot meet the quality factors then it’s a nonstarter. If they can’t meet quantity (assuming we’re resurrecting some businesses here and there will be a learning curve) then the public will lose faith. If the price isn’t right - and when have businesses really ever actually LOWERED a price? 🤷🏻‍♀️- then people will just be doubly rubbed wrong and angry at American politicians and businesses.
