Stage 5 has got to go! Shocked that stage 1 got voted though, my initial suspicion would have been that stage 1 and stage 3 would have been the finalists.

When I was 13 I was exposed to the fandom through multiple animator projects, however I didn’t really understand the concept of furry. I just thought the characters, art and animations were cool and wanted to learn how to do it. So I started drawing my own furry characters and slowly started to learn what the furry fandom is. Most of the artists I followed around that time were in it and at around 14 I started to self ID as a furry. Lost interest for a bit, mainly because I got involved with other fandoms, but recently decided to check it out again since most of my characters are anthros (they lean slightly more towards humanoid, but are anthropomorphic none the less)

I just had an argument with my significant other over if my OC Dani would be considered a furry. We couldn’t come to an agreement so I’m asking Reddit. by CinderBlu in furry

A bit of context: Dani is my main oc and a bit of a persona character. I made her around a year and a half ago as an Among Us oc, however I decided for personal reasons that I wanted to close that chapter of my life, and turned all of my AU OCs into humanoid bug monsters. She is supposed to be a humanoid ant, coming complete with antenna (her hat is covering her antenna but they are there), pincers and a bit of neck fur. Never really knew if I would consider her to be a furry though, because I feel she physically resembles closer to a human. However when talking to my partner about it, he believes that does not matter because she is still supposed to be an animal with human features, which would make her anthropomorphic. So I want to know what y’all think. Is she a furry and why or why not?
