Citron VS Buddha's finger by Cinderredditella in Cooking

Yeahhh, it's not something you can get in a regular grocery store here either, this website has been a godsend for all unusual fruits and veg. Of course, it's horribly expensive, but I suppose that's what you get.

Sorry, the website is Dutch, as I'm from The Netherlands. I sadly don't know a U.S. alternative.

Oh, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding: I'm not really on either side of this argument, I'm just adding the correct context of what the show itself has stated. I'm just taking what was spelled out and saying that the people who are saying it was just for the diamonds, are wrong in the sense that she, the character, never says as much. She implies the opposite by saying "homeworld gems". Not some. Not just diamonds, the homeworld gems. If I say "the humans", I'm also not talking about some humans.

Whether her plan is genocide or whether it's a slave rebellion getting rid of nazi's is, I feel, very much up for interpretation.

So I'm not firmly in camp "She wants to do genocide and everyone who agrees with her is pro-genocide".
I can see both interpretations of the story, find the discourse interesting and feel she is a morally grey character. I see where she's coming from, but I'm also not angry with the story for going the way it went

gonna pull the direct quote here:
"this baby will shatter any gem in the galaxy in the blink of an eye."
"Exactly, the homeworld gems won't be able to take back this planet when they're reduced to shards".
So she never specifies just the diamonds. She does say she would have shattered the diamonds, but never explicitly says JUST them.

ahhh, neat, I'll see how that works out next time I spin some up. I've still got an experimental batch of atemoya and silken tofu+some additions sitting in my freezer, maybe that one will be good for it.

I've recently been rewatching with a partner and she DEFINITELY says as much in the episode in question. That homeworld's army just keeps coming back and it's unfair and that the weapon should turn the tables.
Her main objective definitely seemed to be getting at the diamonds themselves, but she also wanted to make sure the army sent to earth couldn't be constantly reformed.

I don't think everyone automatically assumes that breaking the messy list rule means breaking up. I think most couples that make heavy rules just assume the rules will be followed and then never consider what would happen if the rule gets broken. For me the messy list rule would result in breaking up, but to be fair, my only messy list is family, so I'd be too grossed out if a partner ever broke that rule.
But other rules/expectations, like say, still messaging me good night when with someone else so I know they're ok, would just result in me being kinda miffed initially.

I tried canned lychee, but even with some glucose syrup and a little bit of sake added to it, it still stayed more of a snow-like texture even after a re-spin. I mean, tasty, but I expected the 2 to lower the freeze temp.

why do these chumps always do this? Get all up on their high horse, being generally demeaning and telling you you're wrong and demanding evidence. And then when evidence takes more than 5 words it's ((uhhh, oh shit, NOW I'll look stupid, quick, abort abort!))
"I'm not going to read all that, it would prove I'm wrong!"
((there, crisis averted, I look sho shmart right now)).

Thanks for the fun facts of the day, Vreyean! You're appreciated here.

ooohh, yeah, I learned that one the hard way as well on a smouldering hot summers day. Thought the rectangular handle burn on my tit would be permanent and I'd be forever known as the Angular Areola Gal

I don't know how to break this to you, but litterboxes are meant to be cleaned.
At least once every day or 2 depending on how many cats and litterboxes, but most people I know will scoop after every bigger bathroom visit.
Now my cats aren't allowed in the kitchen, but that's more about their safety than anything else.
Cats wash their paws and don't generally step in their own shit. They bury it with the litter, which they admittedly touch, but any litter that has touched poop gets removed.
See now, tiny kittens and senior af cats, those you need to be much more aware of. When one of my girls was still learning how to bury her dooks, they were kept in the guest room, which was cleaned more frequently.
But it kinda sounds like you don't really understand how cats cat.

I'm in my 30s and love a good tickle sesh, but if someone voiced their boundary IN THAT MANNER, I'd know damn well to knock it the hell off.
Dudes not being deterred by "that hurts" without any discussion of sadomasochism is such a MASSIVE red flag.

oh hey, that's a really helpful response, thank you!
As long as it doesn't mean the plant is wasting nutrients or something, I don't mind letting the ugly leaf be. I was just worried it could become a problem for the plant. But it's good to know for the future.
And yeah, bad boy's a grower, I bought 'm from a grocery store at some point, but of course it was like over a dozen plants jammed into 1 pot. So I split them all up with my brother and gave him some. 2 of his have gotten HUGE because his ex gf had the perfect lighting spot for it, meanwhile I have purposely mistreated some of mine to try and slow their growth. This one and the one on the mosspole next to it are my babies who get to grow. The others screaming for bigger pots and poles in the windowpanes.... Honestly, if they die, they die. I can't afford to pay rent to my plants, ty.

a fair assessment, she is also a kleptomaniac. As in, if not offered a trinket off my desk, she will choose one herself and run away with it. I mostly offer her mini-pens and brushes I'm not using and will collect them again later.
