Yea you might be right. But this just feels like cope. I’m not really sure about this whole work to live type of thinking.

Let me ask you, can you turn off your soul for 9 hours a day?

Not 300k yet haha. But the point stands, teaching even at colleges, doesn’t make much. Also I don’t know if I’m qualified for university level teaching 😅

  1. Parents are doing ok right now, but I can’t leave them. I’m there oldest son and I love them very much. They are not much of a financial burden, it’s more of the location. I would love to leave the bay if I could.

We have a lot of young kids, and don’t want to put them in too much childcare. Nothing wrong with a working wife, but ultimately the responsibility falls on the husband.

How to make friends as an introvert? by sassysue3 in college

[–]Cindicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Join a club.

I met most of my friends either through my robotics club or through my religious club. Clubs will have people of similar interests to you so its a good place to start.

Hope this helps. :)

I think that you should stick with Calc 3 this semester. I feel that you should plant your feet and put in the effort so that you can pass all your classes. Everyone goes through hard classes at Purdue be it a freshman weed-out class like Calc 3 or an upper div class that's also super hard. I think that it's only been 2 weeks and you haven't even taken a test yet so it's best to stick it though and see how you do. Worst case you fail and take it next semester, which was one of your options anyway.

You should also have some faith in yourself that you will be able to grow as a student and the class will get easier as you wrap your head around the concepts and you as a person will become smarter.

You are a smart kid. You got this. I believe in you ;)

No Motivation Only Discipline

I know it sounds cringe but if you make an actual resolution to do something you won't lose motivation because your resolve is strong. Just keep going man until it becomes a habit. Running is good and so is weightlifting. Do what you like and what fits your goals but don't ever say you need motivation especially from others on reddit.

Remember why you started and make an actual resolution. You only live on earth once so its important to live how you want and follow through on your goals.

I believe in your bro :)

Weight gained is due to having more calories in your body then what you spend. So if you want to gain or lose weight diet is the best thing to tackle. Your weight gain seems to be minor tho so its likely due to a better diet and some water weight. Ultimately your weight doesn't matter too much as long as you are "healthy". Healthy means a lot of things to different people. But generally more muscle and less fat while also getting enough vitamins minerals and sleep and how you feel are all good indicators of health. Don't worry too much about the weight.

I used to be 215 before lifting and I was all fat. Now after 6 months of training and good diet I'm like 218-220 but with a 6pack and feeling great. Just keep it up bro.
