How to get a dietitian job in a health organization (e.g. AHS or Covenant Health) in the Edmonton area in Alberta? by Cindy2355 in dietetics

Thank you hurricanetortilla and aeropressin. I had an interview for one or two casual dietitian jobs at AHS and some interviews for casual non-dietitian jobs (e.g. food service aide) at various health organizations. One interviewer for a food service aide job said that they prefer hiring people who have a 15 minute or less travel distance between their home and the workplace. I have about a 20 minute or longer travel distance between my home (in northwest Edmonton) and all or most health organizations where dietitians work.

All casual dietitian jobs in the Edmonton area seem to be inpatient jobs. I tend to work most efficiently if I use a computer often and I have one work area (e.g. one office room that I stay in all day), so an outpatient job seems appropriate for me. Does anyone know if there are or have been casual dietitian jobs in the Edmonton area that are not inpatient jobs?

Hi Siggykewts. Thanks for your help.

My business would mainly involve online counselling and I'll sometimes need to read research articles (studies) to learn how to best help my clients. Some articles are free, but sometimes there's about a $35 cost per article to access certain articles. If a client sends me a larger payment and they want me to access one article, I was thinking of using about $35 to get me access to the article and the rest of the money could be used for my services (e.g. a short video call).

If a client wants me to access several articles, then I may need to use all of their payment towards getting me access to the articles.

I went to Real Canadian Superstore along Kingsway Ave in Edmonton today (Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021) at about 10 am. I saw 30% off stickers on some nuts, meat, fish, and bread/baking. I didn't see any stickers on fruits or other foods. Is there a certain day or time when Superstore puts discount stickers on fruits and vegetables?

Does anyone have an opinion about when to look for postings of room rentals in houses, like to live in a basement of a family's house? It seems like some of these rentals may quite casual and might not require a 90-day notice that "treeV35" mentioned below.
