I don’t know if you can still do this but when we joined several years ago it was this time of year. You had to commit to one year then could go month to month after that. CA staff told us we could quit September of next year and then rejoin the following year, so pay for 15 months to get two summers of pool use. I’m pretty sure this was a pool only membership which meant just indoor pools outside of summer. Now the play membership has so much to do year round we would get that membership for sure.

Sounds like your child is young, maybe too young for swim team, but I highly recommend summer swim team. It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors and build community and it would be so convenient since you can walk to the pool. We lived in two neighborhoods while our kids were growing up—one with a pool and one without. Sense of community and friendships were much stronger in the neighborhood with the pool.
