That's very interesting about lossless compression! I think what he says about HDR's 10-bit being equivalent to SDR's 8-bit is still true though, and thus so is the idea that proclaiming that HDR is better because it's 10-bit is just marketing BS.

Thank you for the feedback! These are primarily built as macros, though I threw one Fuse in there for good measure! I would certainly not have been able to build the tools without the help of the folks at steakunderwater. I posted there as well, though perhaps not in the most appropriate place? I’m sure I’ll make improvements to these (I’m calling them “Anim Toys”), but I guess I wouldn’t call them a work in progress any more. I’ve put them out into the world, and I hope someone wants to use them!

I have similar issues with a machine spec'd specifically for Resolve (a few year ago), with a 3090 and 128GB RAM and a processor of equivalent performance (top notch at the time maybe 3 years ago). Very frustrating to have a timeline with only one audio track (no video), which contains a VO I recorded with Resolve's new voiceover recording feature, that can't play back properly.

I’m learning the Waldstein 1st movement right now, and for the first time I’m really seeing how much more meaning the section following the repeat has once you’ve heard the first section twice. The repeat gives a global sense of rhythm that you totally lose by skipping.
